Save yourself a headache and craft some knockback proof armour before engaging this as a meleer..... you won't get near it most of the time otherwise as it'll just keep blowing you away.
or bring poison. simple as that
Or get 3 pieces of his armor
ok
Are there any weapons designed after this beast?

Yep, they come from the Blacksteel weapons.
He's weak to poinson and will negate the winds
Weak to thunder n dragon. Mhfu n mhfu2 it weak to poison
Does anybody know if windproof at level 4 or 5 has any effect for this fight?
If you asking towards if you should get 5/5 windproof against his tornados or his windaura or his windbreaths - Forget it, this changes nothing, you still geht the same amount of dmg/get pushed back etc.
Even my fren wind resistance 30+ still get knock with this. But not fainted just reduce damage n got pushed back a bit
wtf windproof 5 and poison aint workin on this piece of crap, capcom pls
Elder seal is the only way to get rid of its aura
Windproof doesn't mean anything for this. His "wind" attacks are not actually wind, which is *******. This game is about doing the proper prep work and being ready, and the only info you get about this guy before the first fight is that he controls wind but he dooesn't control wind, he controls an element that the rest of the game is absent of that pretends to be wind. There was no way to be ready for this. You can't deduce that.

You're reading it wrong. Windproof prevents knockback from wind pressure; IE the wind generated by a monster's wings when it takes off, dives, etc. It has nothing to do with wind attacks, which is what Kushala Daora is all about. The way to deal with wind attacks is the same way you deal with any attack. You block it or your dodge it. Otherwise you are going to get hurt.

Besides, if Windproof made you immune to Daora's wind attacks, that would make this fight stupidly easy. Which is not something you want from an Elder Dragon fight.
But then there is effluvia immunity which makes Vaal Hazak fight stupid easy (as in, easier than it normally is). Which is not something you want from an Elder Joke fight. And there is stacking fire def for Teo.

Vaal Hazak is easy, and that is a problem. He needs a buff to his effluvium attacks and his regen. But even with the resist, his attacks still affect you, which is what we are talking about.

As for Teo, stacking Fire defense will not save you. His fire attacks will still do good damage, plus only about a third of his attacks are fire. The others are physical and blast, both of which you also cannot completely negate, which is what we are talking about.

But both of these are neither here nor there, and you now have an answer as to why Windproof doesn't effect Daora.
Daora's attacks deal physical damage with high impact and wind pressure, wind resist actually does SLIGHTLY mitigate his stunlock.
Abandon hope all ye who fight this beast
i used finale Kobi Bow and it destroyed him
Easy mode with Tobi bow
