If true, could we expect anything other than aesthetic improvement? Can they actually make changes to game mechanics? Since it is developed for new consoles, does that mean it has to be totally rebuilt? Somebody school me please

Poise hasn't been messed up, it works fine. Getting staggered by a rat is silly, but poise works fine.

Hexes were DkS2 and on, Dark Magic was DkS1. It was also quite OP for a little bit, iirc.

i wont buy the game until i have seem confirmation that poise and hexes are unsuiled

Sweet. I missed this the first time around.

What do you mean by "unsullied"? Are you saying you want Dark Souls 1's dark spells to act like Dark Souls 2's hexes? Because if anything, changing how they originally worked in 1 would be sullying them.

i mean exactly as they worked in the original ds1 including giant dad. firekeeper soul duping and everything cause at least this way i can be sure it wont be a unholy trainwreck like ds3

there are only two changes i would like to keep : ds3 password system and the option to not go into ng+
