Why the downvotes tho? At 50 Str and 40 Dex the Greataxe +15 has an AR of 639, while the Demons Greataxe +15 has an AR of 659.

Consider my advice so you don’t waste a titanite slab on this piece of s••t like I did.

Dood its a pure strength weapon so it doesnt get anything from dex so ovcourse it will have similar AR with 40dex

two handing the demon's greataxe with 66 Str gives you 712 AR the highest raw damage in the game without being max stats or having split damage types, it is WAY more damage then the greataxe by far

This is such a flawed comparison and is highly biased in the Greataxe's favor. First and foremost, the DGA doesn't scale with dex at all, so you can max the AR on this weapon at a significantly lower SL than the Greataxe. The min SL needed to max the AR on the respective weapons is in difference of approximately 30 levels (Depending on starting class), which is a huge level difference if you are not going to spend a few hours cheese farming souls. DGA also has slightly longer range, which makes a big difference in both PvE and PvP. So unless you are SL80+, DGA is going to always be the superior weapon. That being said, the biggest flaw with quality weapons are always the fact that they take huge stat investments to get comparable AR to respective STR or DEX weapons.

"Flawed comparison"? HAH! The Chaos Greataxe +5 with 22 Strength, 10 humanity, two-handed has 729 AR compared with the Chaos Demon's Greataxe +5's measly 595 AR. GTFO...

22 strength using DGA? hello? do you know you cant wield it at 22?

Another thing is that the DGA goes very well with the crystal path because of its massive durability and the fact you can buy it. But it terrible in the Chaos path because the majority of its damage comes from scaling, something Chaos doesnt have

Black Knight Greataxe by far

I think the Demon's Greataxe is better for pve while the Black Knight Greataxe is for pvp.

BKG till NG+, DGA for beyond.

BKG has a far faster sweeping moveset ideal for pvp whereas DGA has insanely high damage per hit, it is very punishable and belongs almost exclusively in PvE

BKGA, carried me for 2 playthroughs, onto NG+4. Wish me luck to get NG+5!
