Horizontal attacks served me well here since the boss likes to move sideways. His reach and speed is not big, you can just back up sometimes to dodge him, then rush in. He will be open for many attacks once his ki is drained, and he wastes stamina a lot. He will dodge back after his combo, so be quick to take advantage, or chase him a little first. He won't really dodge throwables, so you can spam those. Beware of his charge at phase 2, (side roll)as well as his increased damage.

He actually resist fire but I think he is weak against earth and wind!

His phase 1 has no resistance, except against alignments.
His phase 2 seems to be weak against lightning and resist Wind and Water.
Fire and Earth seems to deal normal damage to him.

According to the in game character directory, he is weak to fire (and only fire). He is resistant to water, confusion, poison, and paralysis. So not weak to earth and wind, but not resistant either.
