this ring doesnt do fire damage despite the appearance. tested on the barrels in lost bastille as well as the see through versions of the sanctum soldiers who can only take elemental damage, the ring does not hurt them unless you make them visible.

Old Sun Ring only run NG+ so you could start with 99 repair powder, and soul vessel your way back to... actually, can you reduce your level with a soul vessel?
