Most useless stat in this game.

What an idiot lol put your shield away scrub, this is the most important stat in the game, period.

#16129199
*the most important stat* ROFL. The most important stat is endurance, you casul scrub. Besides he is right, but used the wrong word. It's actually the dumbest stat in the game. Neither Dark Souls 1, nor Dark Souls 3 has this garbage stat affecting your rolling, estus and other things.

He is correct. Adp is absolutely the most important stat in the game. Any new playthrough, since my very first upon release, I immediately pump adp up to get my agility to at least 101, eventually max it at 110. Yes, it was a stupid stat to include in the game. Agreed. But it IS in the game, and because of that, it is absolutely essential to level up immediately.

nah this guys right, you never need to level this up past 5 unless your just bad. once you git gud this stats is useless

#16162808
Nah loser he's wrong and you're wrong, look at all the downthumbs. Good thing you like being wrong bc you're wrong.
By Anonymous
#16184617
that's like saying that leveling stamina is bad because when you git gud and learn to manage your 92 points of stamina you don't need to actually level it
By Anonymous
#16211819
Ppl that level adp are too***** at the game to learn dodging. They need faster item use cause they can't dodge without enhancing it. Smh when those*****heads get their easy mode stat challenged and questioned.

Wow. The people in this Wiki are basically all *******s who tell others how to play and when they don't they are immediatly bad at the game and should learn how to play.I love Dark Souls but I dislike the community very much...

Probably most important stat to level up. Certainly the worst stat to put in the game in the first place.

Those iframes are helping a lot, definitely not the most useless stat.

My man understands. Strength is where at.

It is because your Iframes are supposed to be related to the weight of your character like in every game of the franchise, not a separate stat

Thank goodness for this info, I’ve been doing a rapier dex build and I didn’t know what this stat did and raged about how broken rolling was was confused why I seemed to perfectly dodge and still get hit and now I understand why I was, only having 5 ADP.

#16132091
It is broken tho :/

Dont forget your weight percentage is also extremely important for distance rolled an a smoother transition while rolling

This stat is so stupid, I shouldn't need to be forced to level a stat because it's completely necessary to my success.
By Anonymous
#16133279
And how exactly are u forced to raise that stat?
By Anonymous
#16161886
kind of like vigor...
By Anonymous
#16171636
Literally could be said for any stat in the game.
By Anonymous
#16174118
How is this completely necessary to your success? How about a shield, armor, keeping distance with magic, miracles, arrows etc...
By Anonymous
#16184872
Not gonna lie I never knew about this stat for my 115 hours of playing and did all the achievements with 5 ADP. It's not necessary to success but It would definetaly ease my job. I agree this is one the things why people hate DS2 and could easliy be avoided like hollowing, enemy spam*****ty hitboxes etc. For the guy on the above: Magic, miracles and arrows just make soulsborne games 1000 times more boring.

Just git gud lol

Yeah i shouldn´t be forced to level STR because is necessary to hit hard to win

you are forced to use it because of this game's **** hitboxes, and if you like to play agressive (like without magic, bows, shields or summons) not being able to roll throug atacks makes it a pain, I'd know, bc of this game poor explanation of this stat I didn't know this was a thing. This isn't good anyway you look at it, how do you make something so important and don't explain it at all
By Anonymous
#16122174
My first play through I never even leveled this stat and I did just fine haha
By Anonymous
#16137827
It comes into play in PVP and what you call fine we don't know what that is. If you have agility you have iframes it's a huge advantage
By Anonymous
#16237673
The people saying that this stat is useless are the same people I kill while roll catching them in pvp.
By Anonymous
#16261303
hey man i do pvp just fine without it so i don't know what you guys are talking about
By Anonymous
#16288607
Respectable. I personally dont invest a super large amount. 15 is where I stop. I usually actually focus on carry weight as the distance gained is amazing in this game and the rolls become so smooth at around 30%

What is the recommended amount of Adaptability to get the most out of it?

try 20 first. If you still get hit too often for your taste go for 25. That should be enough for Fume Knight and sorts.
By Anonymous
#16244526
The amount needed for DS1 rolls is 26
By Anonymous
#16261302
the amount needed to win the game is 5, the amount needed to make the game easy is 26
By Anonymous
#16288606
For any build the perfect amount pve and pvp is 15. You shouldn't ever have to go higher than that unless you want to rely on back stepping more often, but at 15 backsteppinf has a good amount of iframes.
By Anonymous
#16647295
judge go by how much agility you get from it instead. 105-110 agility is as high as anyone should ever go
By Anonymous
#16164176
Oh, I had no idea ADP increased I-frames. I've just been doing all my dodging with 5 ADP and somehow surviving. This would probably make farming the rotten a lot easier though.

#16180401
holy***** I didn't know this is a thing

#16184813
literally exactly my reaction after getting my *** kicked by the pursuer and wondering why the roll sucks so bad
By Anonymous
#16191496
The fact you need a wiki to know what this stat does is kind of sad.

#16282520
Thats like 80% of soulskerioborne games though
