If you max out Endurance, wear this ring and Havel's, you can use the entire Havel set and still ninja flip. you can only use a few weapons with the space left (shortsword brings it up to 24.9%)

This, havels Minus the helm and wear mask of the father instead, should allow you to use better weapons

FYI I just tried the Cragspider trick (get the Cragspider to kill the ninja) and it still aggro'd Shiva, but only after the ninja died. Could be because I attacked the Cragspider back? In any case, proceed with caution.

This Happened To Me, Chances Are You Accidentally Attacked Shiva Through The Wall When You Attacked The Cragspider. Try A Thrusting Weapon Next Time, Or Just Kick It Into The Open To Battle.

^^ went back to Blighttown, found ring next to elevator where bodyguard used to be. The forest hunters hate me but at least I still got my ring!

An easy way i found is to just kill shiva first by doing a ledge attack followed by a backstab or parry, ninja guy himself shouldnt be too hard since he doesnt have much poise

It you battled him at Blighttown, he's returned back to his previous spot at the covenant. He will be hostile along with everyone else in the covenant as well.
