By Anonymous
#15940426
At 2/3 of the original strength requirement you can effectively weild it
By Anonymous
#15940429
That's 2-handed

22 str minimum to 2-hand it. 22 x 1.5 = 33
By Anonymous
#16075078
just use this weapons at 32 str because its the str you need for one-handed

So does lightning help break people's poise or something?
By Anonymous
#16047061
No, it is just that most armor has less def against lightening. And regular titanite chunks and slabs are easier to farm than red ones.

The scaling is wrong when you click on the regular upgrade path the strength scaling on +15 says C instead of B

Chaos Greataxe +5 with 10 Humanities can reach 729 AR, more than Chaos Demon Greataxe's 595 AR.

how about black night +5 though ?

#16303367
no because you cannot put chaos on the BKGA sadly, if you could it would be one hell of a beast in both PVP and PVE, also did you take into effect buffs for those ARs? PW is kinda OP NGL XD

I hope that I am not the only real only strength user in this game I suck at dexterity and I one of my account is a giant dad so every strength weapons is the best for weapons for me!!! And I level up to min 5 every normal strength I have!!

1st: fix your goddamn English. 2nd: you’re by far not the only one with a strength based build. 3rd: I doubt you’ll ever read this, but if you do; THE LEGEND NEVER DIES!!!!

I also use Strength builds all the time.

you just described my dark souls expierence, dex is way too hard for me the low damage and fast rolling just isnt my cuppa tea so i always just tank up in giants or havels and smash em with my zwei or variation of axe

Giantdad isn't a strength build

To 2h this axe you only need 22 STR, and you can get it +5 Lightning by the time you reach Anor Londo. 700 ATK non-buffed with only 22 STR isnt that shabby.

I think I just came. New run idea: Greataxe Guts! 2H the greataxe (excepting time needed to get it at the start). With the Master Key, you can actually fight Capra with a bit of circumnavigating, get into the Depths, and snag it super early. Armor: whatever. Magic: LOL, SMASH WITH AX!

plus3 lightning claymore wins the game so plus 5 lightning axe should own it

No reach and horrible moveset and being very slow and extremely heavy are all problems with it. UGS weight and speed, CS range. Trying a run with it as my default is an... interesting experience, and by that I mean part catharsis as I rampage through all the mobs with one hit kills, and then get powned by bosses who smash me while I'm swinging, or missing, or dodging me, or are out of my microscopic reach... I also cannot optimize armor for use with it, as I need Havel's Ring and RoFaP to not chonk roll with it. I can only assume this is in the game for people who really live for that ultimate DPH.

You can also get this weapon straight to Chaos +5 before Anor Londo if you got the patience and a LOT of Souls for an Ascended Flame. Just PVP a little and you'll get the Souls for it fast. You can also just hunt down bosses like Sif and 4 Kings for the Souls or farm the Darkroot hunters or even Bonewheel Skeletons if you're careful. Then trade the Ascended Flame to Snuggly.

If you can use Hidden Body farming the Bonewheels will be safe and fast.

Never understood what an appeal of such weapons in souls. Literally 2 attacks that dont even chain into each other. Both boring in pve and predictable in pvp. I'd rather use cheap bastard sword that has million movesets
By Anonymous
#16279451
it deals heavy dmg, combine that with the slow moveset and you've got a weapon that's really satisfying to hit people with. it's also a great weapon for trading, as you'll very often break your opponent's poise and outdamage them

#16305841
you can go "i hit hard"
By Anonymous
#16382461
Because it deals "grown *** man" damage.

random question, can you parry this things R2 in pvp? I think I was having a latency problem but I swear I hit like 4 parries against this thing and it just tanked through it, this was with a +5 silver knight shield if that matters (yeah I know I'm a try hard)
