Not in the remaster. So i guess the ring originally did boost pyromancy, but was then changed during development and they forgot to adjust the translation, wich was then fixed for Remastered.

Bro, there is only one Sunlight Maggot in this game.

You either walk all the way behind the shortcut and kill it to get the Sunlight Maggot, OR, you can get to Chaos Servant+2, which opens a shortcut where that Sunlight maggot is.

Seriously, it's old NES games levels of cryptic. I can't imagine playing this game when it first released in 2012, no guides and you basically just have to play off of pure instinct.

She is one of two mute characters, the ring says its, "seemingly useless" which means it isn't, Quelana mentions there family, gold-heemed set calls her a witch. Plus the ring is written in the language of the kingdom there from.

Especially around release with 1000s of people playing at all hours somebody is bound to find something and then post it. Not like the old days where you relied on strategy guides for this stuff.

I guess it's because the ring used to say that it boosts pyromancies so someone was wearing it without realizing it actually doesn't, and if you're playing for pyromancy inevitably you're going to want to join the chaos covenant. You see her dialog, go to a forum and see that she talks to some people and to someone doesn't voila it's the ring.

it literally isn't that hard to figure out. it's called the old WITCH ring and the fair lady is the daughter of the WITCH of Izalith.
