No it's not, it's just based on Archetypal archer armour (light leather) and pointy hat, just like Irvine itself. not everything in Dark Souls has to be Beserk related ffs

Ignore the butthurt people. I think it's very much so a Berserk reference (to that character). Even moreso in Dark Souls 1 with the lore surrounding that archer (I forgot her name). The Black Bow in DS2 references her as well (but by a different name iirc).

and the combination of the leggings with the chest piece makes the male characters body look disturbingly feminine. They should have made the male version more masculine.
