Well, if you will base it in the above... Then yes...
I always believed that my 30%+ encumbered character became slower when it hit 40%+, Until I saw this info few years ago... But Lol Potato.

Anybody know how to calculate having below 70%? I know you can get 50% by multiplying your current load by 2 and 25% by multiplying it by 4 but im no mathmatician. Would help a lot!

Divide your maximum by 10 and then multiply that by 7.
Example:
87 / 10 = 8,7
8,7 × 7 = 60,9 this is your 70%
Example:
87 / 10 = 8,7

Quick Maffs.
100% means it is completely 1 of itself.
75% means that it is .75 of itself.
Essentially 100% is 1.00, and 75% is .75, 50% is .50, 25% is .25.
Just multiply your max load by what your percentage is, so 25% of 80 would be .25x80 = 20.
If you want to know WHAT percentage your CURRENT load is, then take your CURRENT weight divided by TOTAL weight and times that by 100. so 20/80 then x100 = 25%

it's not actually basic math, it's wrong math. to get 25% of your current load you... divide by 0.25 or multiply by 4!? so, 25% of 76 is 304, a number way higher than your current load lol. it starts with the very first equation being wrong:

should've been:

that is:
(opt max load for % you want) = [(% you want) / 100] * (current load)
obviously when you "simplified" to MULTIPLYING CURRENT LOAD BY 4 to calculate 25%, should've clued you into the math being very, very wrong.

It would be more correct to say that every class starts out with a base equip load, plus what their vitality stat gives them.

To calculate how many percent your equipment load is you just multiply the max equipment load by the percentage you want it in
so if you want to know if your equipment load is less than 50% and your max equipment load is 76, multiply them the answer is 3800 now you put 2 decimals from the right to left then that is the 50% of 76 which is 38.00 so if your less than 38.00 you will know

The penalty for heavier armour is so much more lenient than in ds1. Thank god I can actually use more than 2% of armour I pick up.

I find having between 50-70% ideal for my curved sword melee build, <50% dodges to flank the enemy take me just a foot out of range from them and I lose precious time getting a counter hit in before they recover from their attack.
