you have to loot the large amber in the depths and bring it to andrei and select ascend to make it +6 after that you can upgrade normally as till +5

Lightning path removes scaling entirely

The lightning path removes all scaling which, at first, i thought was more superior but it nullifies all the benefits of this weapon. High dex scaling, low weight (not affected), and split damage weapons are generally a scam. Physical damage and scaling are the best way to go i say. But if you dont want the stat investment (lets be real tho if youve got 20 dex theres no way ur not a quality or dex build), but other than that do what you want. I reccomend you follow the standard upgrade path tho

As people have said - worse scaling and you can't buff it with stronger buffs such as Crystal Magic Weapon, Sunlight Blade, Moon Blade which all end up making the weapon way stronger
