There's a few bosses that give you 60000 souls when killed, Seath, The Four Kings, Witch of Izalith, Nito and Manus. I believe this is not a coincidence and is another fact that point the power of Manus being on the same level as the other souls of the lords.

It stands to reason that since the intro said that with the souls of Lord's Gwyn,,neito and the witch were able to defeat the dragons that Lord souls could be equal to that of dragons

That’s easily explained by being an endgame boss. Artorias and Kalameet give lots too.

Hey, I mean. Same pose associated with both. They're both presumably bald. Patches must be decently powerful given the whole existing through several eras thing he does.

could he be the furtive pigmy? hes easily forgotten after all

Why isn't the soul of Manus the Dark Soul? Shouldn't it be the same thing?

If we assume Manus is the furtive pugmy then it technically could be. My theory is that soul of Manus is what was left to Manus after the dark soul was split into humanities. I don't think It would be right to call it 'the' dark soul as it isn't whole

As with Nuuskis said, THE dark soul was fractured and given to humanity, which presumable increased its power, as the original dark soul was pretty pathetic, but with the human population increasing so much, cause the total amount of the Dark Soul (humanities) to explode into something greater. At the end of DS3's The Ringed City, Gael at the end of time has killed and consumed every last humanity except your own, making him quite powerful and his soul quite strong. Additionally, the furtive pygmy may have given it to not only humans but also other pygmys (due to the pygmy lords in TRC).

My Best Explanation Is Given That Furtive Means Secret, The Name Isn't Pluralized To Hide The Fact That There Were Many Pygmies. In DS3 We See Many Pygmy Lords Being Killed By Gael. My Assumption Is Manus Was One OF These Lord's At One Point And He Merely Accumulated Enough Humanity To Become The Father Of The Abyss. Given That Halflight IN Ds3 Came From OOlacile It Makes Sense That Oolacile When They Encountered Manus Found Him In The Ringed City. But That's Just My Guess On It All.

Manus is the Furtive Pygmy originally, but I believe each humanity is a part of him, spread out over time, which each new humanity he loses more control, until eventually his own humanity runs wild and overwhelms him, so the Chosen Undead is the culmination of Manus' excess humanity in a new vessel with none of his madness

I really dont think Manus is the furtive pygmy bc in dark souls 3 the ring city is filled with people called pygmy
