Curious to note that these guys, along with crows, are the only enemies to drop pebbles, which greatly resemble eyeballs

I noticed that too... did they just think the pebbles were eyes? Also the crows have a tendency to us an attack that looks like they're trying to gouge out the hunter's eyes... weird

can confirm,the claim of being able to escape their grabs via button mashing is bogus-doesn't even shorting the animation, does nothing.

I killed one of these things in the middle of the night full blast volume. Afterwards I had the cops knocking on my door because my neighbor thought I was murdering someone.
