If anything i believe the pendant is an ib game representation of dwelling on the past. Meaning what worked before will probably not be as effective now.

Getting this item from Reah's corpse was always really sad to me when I forgot to kill Petrus because it enforced the idea that she really was just some innocent girl who became undead and was forced to go to this land full of horrible monsters and despair where all her companions either became hollow or abandoned her. ***** you Petrus.

The weird thing is that she only drops it if Petrus kills her. Neither she nor Petrus drop it under any other circumstances. So where did the pendant come from? I suppose this page should be a prime example to show to not look too deep into things, but I still wonder...

I took my time killing petrus. Nice.. and slow..i made sure he clearly and agonozingly vividlt knew his death was coming. As for the girl, her fate is damnnation. At the very least you can save her from a worse death. I gave her peace, instantly killed her with a single parry so she may at least have that. A quick death was all you could give her.
