If you were good they wouldn't be an issue. TBH, get some poise then learn to parry.

On a side note, the true display of unskilled play in this game is to backstab fish because it's so broken you'll accidentally succeed.

At 28/45 (or 40 for non pyros), the crystal kumo is a monster, best pvp weapon in PTDE. Pros : Really good moveset; Very high damage output; Stunlocks; Dead angle/Ghost strike machine; Unparryable running R1s, Fast recovery after R1s. Cons : First R1 is slow; Range could be better; Easy to toggle on sight even on bad latency.
