I recently played and finished Dark Souls for the first time and my two favorite weapons were a Gargoyle's Halberd and Lifehunt Scythe. I especially like that spin attack on Gargoyle's Halberd. "Be ware of me Bonewheels there is a new bayblade in town"

ive played dark souls so much i ended up using every weapon in the game and let me tell u about my fav weapon... the graet and all mighty! falchion! Not only the weapon is incredibly fast, which means fighting agaist ultra great sword users are going to be easy as ****, the damga on the falchion is really good! Not only that the falchion can also be buffed! I suggest u make a build with 40 dex and 30 faith and use dark moon blade, a single hit from this bastard will do over 400 damage! If u dont know how much damage that is, kts 2x the amount of damage the black knight graeat sword dose... not only that but the falchion is easy to use even for new players since all u have to do is spam R1 lol. So to sum it all up, Falchion is op!

The Furysword. It can only be grabbed mid-game but DANG the weapon is fun to use. Throw in some pyromancies and you got a great chaos bringer build. Only need DEX, VIT, some ATT, and END.

Fairly late game weapon, but the Moonlight Greatsword is my all time favorite from this game

hello, SL1 noob here. what weapons are normally used for SL1 runs in DSR? i was thinking possibly a lightning or chaos claymore since i think you can 2 hand it at 10 str but i'm not sure.

ah crap, DS3 messed up my head. i forgot SL1 in this game is the pyromancer, which only has 9 dex with no way to up it :( guess no claymore for me.

I know that the giant's hammer is a really good choice for a sl1 run. I am not sure if this is the best way to get it, but after you have reached the undead parish, perform the sen's skip to get into the fortress. Run like crazy through sen's. Then summon a buddy or tarkus to help beat the iron golem. After that make your way to the giant blacksmith and assassinate him. Pyromancies are also really powerful on sl1 runs as they do not have requirements and can be combined with damage boosting items like the dragoncrest ring and the dusk crown. Hope this helps :)

I’m doing a SL1 run for the first time now. Melee-wise, I’ve stuck with the hand axe. It’s so fast, decent damage and good enough moves.
Only have needed to use
I haven’t used others much but have the battle axe, reinforced mace on hand. I’m going to experiment with now that I’m almost at Anor Londo

Yeah because God forbid if someone wants to try different weapons out for different builds because sticking to the same one for every single playthrough will get boring very fast.

Any of the dragon tail weapons. They can do melee damage and have limited range attacks, but keep in mind they don't have scaling.

They need 2 add a catalyst that casts everything!!! It should also do nine quadrillion damage with S scaling in everything, that swing at the speed of light and have an attack range of nine quadrillion lightyears!!!
