''You're excused'' the weapon

My favorite sword in history... It's unfortunate that the makers never bothered to research European fighting styles, or they would have seen how light, fast and agile these weapons truly are. Same can be said for most of the weapons in this game, like the bastard sword and halberd. I'm crying inside *loud lamenting*

Ducal Spider does not drop this item.

It can't pancake people anymore sadly, but it can certainly yeet them, the 2 handed heavy attack and running attack will send most (roughly)"Human-sized" opponents flying and leave them knocked flat on their asses for a few seconds, and if you can time/position it right you can send mfs flying off of cliffs and ledges to their deaths.

People tend to say that the "Greatsword" (Guts Sword i guess) outclasses the Zweihander, but The Zwei has a different moveset that could be significantly better depending on your preferences, Its poke heavy attack is arguably better than the powerful but slow golf-swing of the Guts Sword, It's way lighter, It's strength requirement is a decent bit lower combined with its better dex scaling to help sorta compensate for the vastly inferior strength scaling means it's not strictly a strength weapon unlike the Guts Sword

Although I'd say the Guts Sword is almost 100% better if you're going for a strength-oriented build
The Zwei is still FAR from a bad pick, and does have it's advantages and is the more versatile weapon of the two, and is a better option for less strength-based builds, even if it kinda falls short compared to certain other Ultra Greatswords in terms of raw damage
