Don Quixote only fought windmills once and that was as i recall The shortest of his adventures, evento if its the most famous i dont think you should consider it his greatest one, i agree with The knight of mirrors

This Is Dark Souls; when you invade, your job is to hamper the host in any way possible. You did good.
Besides if the host couldn't kill you before getting three Great Heals off, they needed to be sent back to the bonfire to rethink their approach.

If you hit his shield no damage will be inflicted even when he isn't blocking, his shield has a rather large hit box, so using an ultra great sword best strategy of attack would be to attack his left side when he is vulnerable after an attack

i nearly cheesed this fight with poison dagers it take about ten to poison him then it take about 1/4 his heath each time assuming you can keep your distance and have a tower sheild and can deal with the npc

I don't understand why everyone is hating on this guy. This is a very viable stategy. Do everything you can to ensure victory. This is Dark Souls, not a boxing match.

If you look at his shield when he's summoning a player, you can see his shield is slightly cracked and a phantom is trying to escape. Best boss of Dks2 imo

Easy Boss, second try.
on NG+ it took longer and I needed like 5 tries+ however I was nowhere near I wanted to be armor wise and such (used bonfire asthetic) so im sure with some more levels and the rings I intend to have, having 3x the defense and more HP/Stamina than I had now this would've been just as easy. However, I did found it rather difficult to dodge him at times. His summoned phantom died in like 2-3 hits though so that was easy. Using a greatsword and such that swings broadly is really bad though, the shield got such a large hitbox. [Used a Lighting infused claymore for this]

was pretty much one of the few bosses that i first tried, i was praying really hard not to get a player invader because i have bad connection
