^^witchtree is weaker. Witchtree (Magic infused and +10) has 287 base arcane damage with only B scaling. Staff of wisdom (magic infused and +5) has 297 base with S scaling. Not matter your INT

Wrong info about SOFT's location. In PS3 version the staff was located at dragon shrine, not in Tseldora Army camp.

SotfS Info is only for PS4, XBox One and Pc. All Item and enemy locations for SotfS have not been changed on PS3 and XBox 360 so even if updated their original Locations did not change.

to the last posting here, 50 is the second SOFT cap, so it increases by notably less after that, but it DOES still scale until the hard cap of 99, some people like to squeeze out that little extra damage, and some people play to ng+99 and end up with too many souls to burn

In the Scholar of the First Sin, you get it from a mimic in a broken down building in the area just past the Doors of Pharos. You have to drop through the well, kill the boar down there, climb up the ladder, and kill the mimic.

This staff can't cast hexes (Dark magic), but why in this page has Dark infusion table as well? Will somebody do this? Will the staff do split damage between Magic and Dark?
I don't think so, since the damage comes from the spell itself. Unless you like to bash people with the staff and deals +Dark damage...
Explanation, please.

The game let's you infuse it with dark for some reason, not sure if there's any use at all for doing that

It is a staff type catalyst, and therefore is eligible to receive Magic and Dark infusions based on the games coding. Dark infusion simply adds the stats it would to a staff type catalyst with the scaling that the Staff of Wisdom has, because that's just how the game is designed to work and no one thought to bother putting in an exception for this weapon for the infusions.

You can also cause damage by hitting the opponent with the staff, so it would cause dark damage of infused. I did this with the Black Witch Staff.... The damage is brutal, even though used as a club Lol

Something that isn't really mentioned is that it gives extra lenght to Soul Greatsword, and due to the staff's animation a small bonus to how far back the blade arcs, hitting opponents behind you sometimes.

They made the staff available potentially much earlier in the game in SotFS but didn't change the (fairly high) intelligence requirement. Seems like an oversight.

They have since removed the staff from Brightstone. It stays in its original location.

What's this guy on? It's in the same place as are all Scholar items? Where'd you get this idea?
