I’ll try to find time to peer edit this post but the biggest thing to remember about this guide is you need to do McDuffs workshop and Lucatiels Tower Room first before progression to any other part of Lost Bastille

On my first playthrough right now. I did the bird nest route and got my *** kicked here. The ganks and the Ruin Sentinels boss were a nightmare (I had to summon Bellclaire). I kind of think the intended route was through the wharf to level up and learn some spells first before coming here.

This zone shows why DS2 is considered the worst in the series and for good reason. It's nothing but gank squad after gank squad. The slow clunkiness of the combat along with the jank af hitboxes are on complete display here. They couldn't even help themselves and made the boss fights gank squads

This guide is badly in need of revision and clean up for the purpose of clarity and usability. It's just not put together very well. I know this is an old game at this point, but I feel sorry for anyone deciding to play Dark Souls II and finding all of these half-assed guides for it online.
