Oddly, she was not in the Black Gulch, and I don't remember killing her prior to getting there.

If Lucatiel disappears from the game, is there any way to get her back without starting the game over again?

Hmmmm maybe you could find some more info about it on her page but beside that maybe check all the other places where you can talk to her if you didn't miss any spots.
And are you sure you checked the right spot?

You have to talk to her in the (sort of) secret cave down below in the beginning of the Black Gulch before you can summon her in the hidden bonfire room.

You were able to talk to her in Aldia's Keep before killing bosses? She didn't show up there for me, at least not before I spoke to her in other locations. Good luck bro, but I am afraid that you will have to wait with completing task until NG+. If you have already completed three boss fights (Bonfire Ascetic fights count toward that) with her assist and her staying alive and spoke to her in all the previous areas, than she should appear at AK. If she doesn't, than there is no way to meet her in this playthrough. Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong?

It's two different things, her appearing in Aldia's Keep and her giving you her armor set. For her to appear at Aldia's Keep, you have to talk to her and exhaust her dislogue in ALL THREE places she is found in the game before that point, which is No man's Wharf, Lost Bastille and Earthen Peak. Only then she'll be found in Aldia's Keep. BUT, if you then want her to give you her armor set and weapon, you need to have summoned her and defeated 3 bosses in a row BEFORE talking to her at Aldia's Keep. If you find her at Aldia's Keep it only means you have talked to her in all the various places before, but if you then talk to her there and she hasn't helped you slay 3 bosses in a row, she won't give you her gear and you have lost this opportunity for this run through (unless you're willing to kill her)

Despite having beaten three bosses with her prior to reaching Aldia's Keep, she is nowhere to be found. Is this becasue i didn't speak to her in the Lost Bastille?

Nevermind. Went to the Bastille, spoke with her there. Then she was at Aldia's Keep.

I have three files for Dark Souls 2 (1: just beat the game don't really sorry too much about extra's 2: YouTube 3: Find as many secrets as possible then beat the game and go on new game plus) and on my third file, I got the hidden bonfire (and I've been pretty good at keeping my human effigies up) I summoned Lucatiel but I noticed another summon sign for a hunter guy (can't remember his name) who only used a bow. The Rotten has got to be the easiest because you've got Lucatiel with her melee then the hunters bow then there's you as whatever you are (I make mine a mix of both using pyromancy, swords, spears and a bow but my current load out is Lucatiel's sword, The Dragon Slayer's spear, Man Slayer, Dark Pyromancy flame, and Hunter's black bow)

I have met her in No-Man's Wharf, exhausted her dialogue, met her again in The Lost Bastille and after talking to her she took off the mask WITHOUT the area being lit by the scone. Anyone else getting this?

Had to register for my name to pop up. It's my question, just to be clear.

She takes off the mask as long as you wait for her dialogue to clear, rather than skipping the dialogue really fast

Alright, I didn't have three bosses down when I talked to her in Aldia's Keep, so she disappeared. Can I go back, defeat them with ascetics, and come back to find her? Could I reload her with an ascetic?

What does "The point of time when she survives three times in a row is not important. She can die multiple times before she survives three times in a row." mean in context of completing her quest? If i kill Sinner and Sentry on first try together with her, but need two tries for the smelter demon, do I have to start over using ascetics?
By Anonymous
#15843475
What it means is, she can die before she survives 3 times. For example, if she died while you beat the Flexile Sentry, you can still get her achievement by beating the Lost Sinner, The Rotten, and the Smelter Demon with her surviving, as well as any of the bosses she's available for with the use of bonfire ascetics. A great tip, if she dies and you're still in the boss fight, if you die as well the fight will be reset and her death won't be counted. The only way the game will penalize you for her death is if you beat the boss AFTER she dies in the same fight.
