So, I'm sure you can see the faint pulse radiating from your character while the ring is equipped right? I have a theory that the deflection proc is based on a timer, linked to the pulsating effect. For example, it will proc and deflect a spell while the pulse is fading. Anyone understand what I'm suggesting?

Perhaps this has some merit, as this ring can shut down caster builds a quirk to ignore it's effects in PvP would make sense.

I tested the fact if it would enable spell parrying on other shields, weapons etc. but tbh it doesn't seem to work so it would be smart to remove that line. :P

It works fine I tested it with all my medium size shields and it worked, I also tried with a few weapons and it worked too, I used a ps3 and I was testind it at Shrine of Amana

I can support the fact that this ring doesn't enable spell parries for shields. My testing with a Clerics Parma got a 100% success rate (out of 100 spells) in the Shrine of Amana, while using a Crimson Parma I had a success rate of about 70%. This leads me to believe that it is simply proc-ing at the same time I attempted to parry.

But all the game says is "can deflect spells". That's not saying it grants spell parry to everything, it's saying it has a chance to deflect spells passively. Remove the line saying it grants everything spell parry and edit the note about its durability to specify manual spell parries with spell parry shields (and fix the grammatical error in the process).

And you are right about it being a timer iv tested it as long as you see the radiation. Is a shield it deflects at times when the shield is at sertain spots

Dark Souls has rubbish in it, like the item called: "Rubbish" but the itself is in fact, not rubbish.

Look closely at a larger image, and compare it to Vendrick’s shield. They are similar, but not the same. Vaati was mistaken.

Yes instead, they are literally identical. The best comparison you can do is between the model game of the Shield of Want in DS3 and the thumbnail of this ring datamined from its cut content.
