no, burning an effigy should block out invasions and disables you to invade another player, but only as long as you are in that area, plus it doesnt block out npc invasions like forlorn

Either way you can put down a summon sign and still get summoned, you don't have to be human to help out someone else.

You can fight most enemies 12 times - once when you first encounter them, and they'll respawn 11 times from resting at a bonfire. Joining the Company of Champions from the Victor's Stone in Majula will eliminate this counter, allowing you to respawn them as many times as you like so long as you remain in the covenant.

I can help rn, I have a soap stone I can place, tell me whenever if you are still stuck there, btw gotta be human to have allies, also there is a summon sign for an NPC thats is a caster and can deal some damage to the sentinels, I also can be the bait, I have a 100% physical dam. def. shield.

It activates when you kill the area boss.It's like an automatic effect,but without having to burn a human effigy.

Attack the sisters in Things Bewtixt and the one with the ladle will drop 3x Humanity (SotfS) and the one that lets you respec drops 6x.
I did this at the very end of my game to bulk up.

Of course if you do this and want to respec you have to pay the gravestone of Strowen (the main old firekeeper who talks to you at the beginning of the game) 15,000 souls everytime you want to summon her ghost to respec. If you killed Strowen but left Milibeth alive for some reason you need to go see Cromwell the Pardoner to absolve your sins before you can even interact with Strowen's grave. Depending on which npc's you kill in Things Betwixt respeccing can become very annoying.

Farming the Hellhounds just outside Mc,Duff's bonfire in Lost Bastille is a very easy way to get them. With only a Covetous gold serpent ring +1 and a Merchants hood, I was getting about 20-25 per hour. The farm only takes about 12-20 seconds each run. The Dark Scythe 2h R1/LMB attack is perfect to use for this, as would be any weapon with a similar down-striking move-set.
I joined the Company of champions covenant to get infinite respawns and had no problems at all. Definitely recommend this farm.

Also the "room" after the Gargoyles that looks like the Capra Demon boss room from Dark Souls 1. That has way more dogs for farming. If you have a AOE spell like Firestorm (a pyromancy), Darkstorm (a hex), Soul Flash (a sorcery), or Soul Appease (a miracle, which only affects hollows) they're much easier to farm.
