Does the Cannon have an area of effect like a rocket launcher?

When my direct hits did 550 or so damage, the splash damage was usually around 250-300, so it is a lot less, but still a lot of damage. That is with a +2 or +3 Cannon and only 10 Bloodtinge.

You can, but it does much less damage than a direct hit

Cannon in my left hand, Stake driver in my right, the only thing missing from my hunter now is a pair of boosters in the back and a shoulder mounted gatling gun and missile pod.

Haha, your name was covered by a Gundam advertisement as I read this. That's perfect.

It might not be shoulder mounted, but we do have Gatling guns now!

dont know why people are complaining I love wrecking ppl with this. You can one shot just about any enemy in this game(with bone marrow ash). And great for strength builds.

I'm having a similar problem with the spells/tools. In NG, I could wreck several bosses, including the "final" one, by using spells and molotovs at the right moment. Now, their reduced damage combined with no change in carrying capacity just dilutes their effectiveness to near nothing. Guess in the end, the challenging battles will always come down to melee fighting.

It does seem weird how terrible the thrown weapons' scaling is into NG+ and beyond. Having said that, it's fairly non-controversial to suggest that FROM clearly designed every boss fight / encounter in the game to be tackled from melee range... and for the most part (Cleric Beast aside), the thrown stuff like Molotovs never really seemed that powerful compared to the damage your trick weps could do, anyway. But did they actually nerf the tools' damage in PvE? Like, does A Call Beyond not still shred Ebrietas?

Because it's DPS has been reduced with the cost increase. Save specific bosses it is now useless NG+ onward. Repeating Pistol even if it need a full stack of bone marrow ash ends up doing more damage without taking the rune sloths. Not only that but it stills OHKOs in PvP.

Why From there is a 8 UW(ultimate weapon) that instant kills almost everything at Armored core but here WHYYYYY.

Hey guys, i whas wondering if its worth upgrading to 10 and using it in Pve and PvP with a build that only has 10 bloodtinge, for the record i barely use any other guns so i dont really need the bullets unless i decide to chain executioners glove onto someone.

The low bloodtinge scaling makes this a strength weapon. Having 10 won't hurt the Cannon too badly. If you have enough stuff to use it, use it. It will destroy most everything in one shot.

a +10 cannon is a very lulzy thing, and with Bone Marrow Ash, you certainly don't need any Bloodtinge at all to 1-shot an unsuspecting fool.

Another nerf (not balance) that doesn't solve any problem with the cannon. Now it is a lot less useful in PvE and its still a one shot kill in PvP. Bravo FS you have done it again.

It was a little cheesy in PvE, imo. Then again, it's a LOT cheesy in PvP, so yeah, I see your point.

It was a stupid *****ing nerf. The cannon is now useless in NG+ cycle playthroughs.

What was the nerf?

This one's a bit long overdue, but I managed to clean the page up.

Now that the Bloodletter exists, people have more reasons than before to use the Cannon. Overall, the DLC makes strength/bloodtinge builds more effective and they have more choices.

Hi,guys live in overseas.I'm Japanese and I have a question about cannon.According to explanatory text in japan version,"The cannon made by healing church workshop".However,it made by Powder Kegs in English text.I have a question to this point.I want to hear your opinions. It will be good opinions to consideration.

Just adding to a long ago said question, but with the dlc adding a cannon called the church cannon (least its called that here in the US version), it would make it seem like the powder kegs would be the correct one for this cannon.

Might either be a translation error or someone put in the wrong text. Not sure what else to tell you.

maybe translation error. but it also says about tonitrus that its by someone from healing church yet when you store in inventory box its categorized as workshop weapon, not healing church.

The powder kegs seems more likely since they are all about explosions, but it does say in many church weapon descriptions that the healing church's designs are intended for larger beasts, so the cannon being made by the church could also be possible since its description says it would do the trick on giant foes.

The scaling is actually fairly significant since its base AR is so ridiculously high and the stat scaling seems to be percentage-based. You can get it up to 804 blood damage if you pump bloodtinge to 50.

Funny cause it has no Bloodtinge requirement to wield.
