WTF is this enemy. Give him x5 more hp and it will be topping hardest enemies in soulblood series. Hilarious range on attacks, hilariously fast recovery from attacks, almost cant be staggered, enormous damage.

Ive beaten darksouls 1 and 2 (not deamon souls sadly) numerous times i have never been this pissed at a mob. Not even a boss... a *****ing mob. I died on the second one in the area (not counting well) probably 30 times. Taking my blood echos with it each time. I was fuming with rage and i punched my desk. Broke my hand in 3 places. Took 6 weeks to heal and still recovering. Words cannot describe my utter hate anf discontent for these worthless mother *****ers. Cheese is the only way to kill them. *****

Regarding cheesing them, arcane or gun or oil plus molotov. Cover is roof for first. stone column for well and big tree far from the spell caster, near the fish dogs for the lone armed one. The first can be killed by detonating glowing explosives w gun if he gets near. Well ones can be cheesed by hitting them from winterlantern cliff. You access that when you get deep in the hamlet, near the orphan. Shaman bone blade works for well also.

How do you cheese them!?

I've had some luck staggering them with Ludwig's L2 attack. It takes two of them though. I got 45 strength and 40 skill, and the sword is +10. Hopefully this might be useful to someone else.

Haven't even got to the second phase of the well fight.

A hunter is never alone! Try to use the massive stone column to prevent it from charging at you if you need to heal. Try baiting a charge, dodge to the side. Hit as he stands then back away or hit after he does a very slow attack as those also have long recovery. The well one will stop fighting you and flee to his friend once he is at half health. Wail on him, stand in front of him to slow him down and try to mske it so that he has to take a longer path to get to his friend.

For charge baiting, you are safest if you hit his feet rather than his head incase he thrashes

I have died to these guys more times than i would like to admit. Mostly to their *****ty grab attack. I have literally only killed one of them. As soon as i saw this guy, i thought he would be as easy as the church axemen (Big guys in the first area). But no, no no no. These guys are different. Insane health and damage, random moves that make no sense whatsoever. Hell i can rarely ever tell what attack they will do next because they look so similar.

Same here...shark giant **** is real...so much death by massive man beast fish thing mounting my hunter w a dive then thrashing...first giant can be cheesed by running to the roof and spamming arcane. Additionally he will die if you lead him to glowing explosives then shoot them. Solo melee one, lure him away from thw caster and take it to the tree! The tree can stop a charge if you want to retreat and heal. Though their attacks are hard to predict at times. The slow smashes have slow recovery giving room for hit and run. Successfully side stepping a charge will let you hit its feet as it has to stand up. Safer than the head incase it thrashes. You need timing as it charges fast. You can also hide by the tree or column if you are in the well. Once you confirm its the last thrash, hit and run. Learning its moves can let you exploit bigger openings and let you stagger it if your weapon is heavy. Ludwigs holy blade tskes 3 hits to stagger.

Plesioth-tier hitboxes, ridiculous tracking and horse***** attacks. It's like they managed to compress all of the jank and ***** from Dark Souls 2 into 1 single enemy.

The two *****s in the well, specifically the one with the anchor, will periodically and randomly change from fast and slaw swipes. Obviously, making parrying them a pipe dream. I don't know why Miyazaki feels the need to put in such bs enemies in every game of his. Sadistic *****

correction, to cheese the well giants from the winterlantern cliff, you have to go down and return or have someone do that, else they wont be reachable. Cannon, rifle, church cannon aimed high...wont reach the far one and the hanging one seems to be invulnerable until he falls down due to his friend being hurt.

If you want to cheese them, use the little binoculars from the path accessed near the winterlanters. You can bonk their heads if they good too close or arcane them a lot. They csnt climb the cliff. You need the binocular thing to aim at the far one cuz the one hanging doesnt take damage until he falls. Which is when the first is hurt.

^binoculars plus gun w good range.
By Anonymous
#15832827
You can always aggro the one at the distance with binocular and a throwing dagger just aim a little higher.

#15832828
Unarmed is easier to dodge upclose and some moves miss if you huddle too near him. Just beware that grab.

They once in a while do slow moves that have huge recovery periods. You can snag a hit and run away. Using the columb for the pair or luring the other weapon weilder to the tree can give u a place to stay safe from crazy diving charges. Come in for hit and run after its dobe thrashing. Heavy weapons can stagger them, but you need a good opening as it takes 3 hits from ludwigs to stagger one, the weapon wielder by the welk will disengage and flee to his friend once he is about half hp. To make us of this. Make it happen when he is far from his hanging friend. When he retreats he will not attack at all until he makes it to his friend. Block his way and wail on him. If the two giants get together. Use the column to separate them. If one charges at you, run the other way around to briefly engage the other one alone. Disengage soon as help will arrive.

You dodge away from them, you get hit. You dodge into them, you get hit. You dodge behind them and you *****ing get hit. I'm inclined to believe that actually, their entire hit box truly is the actual well itself. So, as long as you are within the vicinity of the well, it is only inevitable that you will be hit. Because cosmos. Do yourself a favor and go arcane and just cheese them from afar. It's what they deserve.

Make Them Fight Each Other
By Anonymous
#15832832
Use the cliff with Winter Lantern. Kill Winter Lanterns up there. Then jump below and use ladder immediately. Wait a bit on ladder and lure the giant to be under the ladder. Than make a lap and come back to the cliff. Kill both of them from cliff using monocular and Blacksky Eye or Accursed Brew (second is better for hitting 2 giant at once and just easier to land)
By Anonymous
#15832833
Do you have to jump below? What if you aggro the far one w monocular plus cannon or maybe piercing rifle. Those have better range than pistol. Its a good spot. Revenge against the giants! Plus u can farm blood gems
By Anonymous
#15832834
Yea, u have to jump below. Cant hit it at all, even w cannons

You can also use the Beast Cutter, these guys don't deserve to be fought legit with how much bull*****they are.
