How good are these with a character with 30 strength and around 50-60 arcane, because I love the moveset on these, and I would want to try them with beasts embrace. If anyone replies I would be extremely happy and if you've read this far thank you. I will probably say these words if I could use the claws. In the words of the late Father Gascoigne " oh the sweet blood, it sings to me."

Best damage would be 50 strength and 25 skill, but I have found that 40 strength and 20 skill work fine too. It can also be used with a quality build, say 35 skill and strength. But for arcane builds? it does practically nothing unless you plan on buffing them.

How good is this without the DLC? I'm thinking of using it along with my wheel. Want to make sure it's viable before I go through the huge task of finding it.

One last thing I forgot to mention is that it's not a good choice if you're focusing on an arcane build of any sort.. Beasthood will not affect non-physical damage, meaning you're going to waste your potential with Beasthood if your plan is arcane. Since you're using the wheel, that could become a problem if you're focusing heavily on the L2 Arcane buff that comes with the wheel.

I'm doing a strength focused build with about 25 arcane in the end. I'm certainly going to try to get the DLC, just don't have the money quite yet.

It is easily an OP weapon. Literally have killed bosses in seconds with it especially when you up the beasthood stst

It's decent, especially if you're just using it to build up the beasthood meter and really put the hurting on someone. You can use it as a sideweapon for that purpose, then switch to your main weapon and you get the point.

Although, well....you're really going to miss out on a pretty cool aspect of Bloodborne without that DLC.

What I meant by this is without the Caryll Rune that you have to purchase the DLC to get.

I created this dungeon, and surprisingly there's fairly easy access to all three levers with relatively simple bosses. The rune is in the Layer 1 pre-lamp area. I marked where with notes. The Lost Beast Claw is in the Layer 3 pre-boss area. Plus the last boss drops Cold Abyssals if you're trying to farm those. Glyph: zqqebsq9 Bosses: Layer 1 - Beast Possessed Soul, Layer 2 - Keeper of the Old Lords, Layer 3 - Pthumerian Elder

You call the Pthumerian elder "simple"

Where it is supposed to be. I've searched all over layer 2 but didn't see it. Did it change location?

Before going to the Layer 2 lamp, there's a door with a ladder. You'll find it there.

Nevermind. I guess I didn't see the ladder before.

You could still do switch tech in Dark Souls 1, though the most people could do was usually just switching out their rings to the hornet and red tearstone from what they usually were.

#15827247
I'm assuming it's referring to dark souls where people changed out like 8 items while someone was staggered before visceraling

^ You mean riposting, and you mean Dark 2, as you could not do that switch tech in Dark 1. Also the line may refer to that, or how in Dark 1, and maybe 2 as well, could switch their weapons mid-swing and potentially cause weapons like a great hammer to have a spear's generic forward stab.

My brothers, we must congregate to purge these Yharnam streets of the disease and cancer known as the "Rakuyo". With our beastly rigour we shall plunge our fists into the flesh of man and rip the disease from his body. Only then can this "Rakuyo" be eliminated. Those broken hit boxes, that inhuman armour with each spin! The all around edginess of the weapon itself! Such weapons are an insult to us beasts! They called us weak; pathetic. "The range was pathetic" they said; "Tracking was poor" the bellowed; "Rally was minimal" they cried! But my brothers and sisters of this Beastly chapel, we have been given a gift. We have been given an embrace by the Bloodletter itself! With this new-found strength I employ you, my brethren! Say no to the Rakyo! No Rakuyo No Rakuyo No Rakuyo! >

My brothers, please. We are not here to argue our grammar, but we are here to discuss the superiority and ferocity of the church of Beast Hood! My brothers, take this -Gives all a beast roar- and once you master the art of the roar I shall honour you with the presence of a beast claw. One day, my children, you shall rise equal to me and I shall bestow upon you the Beast Embrace rune! Follow our ways, my wittle beastlings and you too shall learn the path to becoming "super cool".

My child, do not turn away from the Beast Hood! Embrace the primordial ways. Do so and I shall teach you the correct ways to use a semi-colon; that is the way of the beast.

It would be "Beasthood" - One Word, not two; and.. Yes, I can. I likely already have as of writing this message.

Of all the pages I've ever done cleanup duty, this was one of hugest messes ever. What I decided to do was simplify the page and spread the information on two pages associated with it regarding Beasthood and the Beast's Embrace. The page had alot of information that talked more about those subjects rather than the Beast Claw itself.

I'll need some help with revisions since I'm pretty sure there will be a few details missing, but if they pertain to Beasthood or the Beast's Embrace, try to keep them associated with those affliated pages instead of spamming the Beast Claw page with unending amounts of information.

TBH, I didn't test the glyphs on this page to make sure they still worked. But from the message you got, there must be something you're still missing. Maybe not enough Blood Echoes? I've goofed up before after spending a crap load of cash on the messengers then wondering why I couldn't do new glyphs for several minutes.

I'm trying to input the glyph for the Lost Beast Claw, but it says EYE don't meet the requirements. I indeed have the Lower Loran Chalice and all the other required items ( Ritual Blood (5) x9 and Blooming Cold Blood Flower x4). What else do EYE need to enter the chalice?
