Weird problem occurred, I offered help by rung small resonant bell as usual, got summoned and connected BUT when I start to appears, I saw host already go fighting the boss inside the room, I try to follow but somehow I can't enter boss room, there no command to enter the room like pressing "O" This is glitch or game mechanic? like game will locked the boss room if host start fighting for 1 min or something like that.

For the bosses that have cutseens when u first enter them, if u get summoned after the cutseen is played, u cant enter fog

I have had that happen to me while i was fighting a boss before. dont know why it happens, but it really sucks. I wonder if that will increase the bosses stats?

if it is the first time the host encounters the boss in his/her playthrough, you cant enter immediately.

after sitting for 3 hours i havent gotton a summon at all. there has to be another way becuase this isnt working. im lvl 22 at old yarnthem so idk whats going on am i overleveled or underleveled or just unlucky

I had same issue. Try restarting the PS4. Anytime you "suspend" bloodborne (e.g. to open Netflix) and then resume bloodborne, summoning won't work. All other multiplayer aspects were functional except summoning.

I was helping one of my friends beat the Blood-starved beast, and for some reason my health was cut WAY past just 30%. I have 31 vitality, and somehow, my health was even lower than a completely new charater! Does anybody know why? :(

If you were using a password and if your level difference between your friend was more than 10% away you will lose more than 30%. This is so that level 10's can't summon level 300s to do the level for them.

You can ring the bell if you haven't killed the boss, I farm the last boss for souls and I haven't beaten him (otherwise I'd be forced into Ng+)

No, acts in other worlds doesn't affect your own. You only get exp and insight for killing bosses as a summon.

When I used the bell I later got this message "discovered the chime of a beckoning bell, but the beckoned is a blood addled hunter, and thus an adversary" and I spawned as an invader what caused this?

If a Vileblood tries to summon people into their world they spawn as an invader. I had a guy summon me who was a Vileblood and didn't seem to understand I wasn't there to fight. I didn't have the heart so start attacking him and kept trying to show him that I couldn't damage the enemies. I eventually just unlocked the area shortcut and watched him die to enemies. I felt kind of bad about it.

Ur a hunter of hunters and ur summoner was either a vileblood or a guy which pvp's a lot ( not sure about last one )

I tried to join my friend who isn't a member of the vile bloods and it said he was a blood addled hunter.. Took 4 hours until we finally got grouped to help him with the last boss and it joined me as an invader zzz they need better servers (he is the same level as me)

Someone needs to test how the bell works and get the exact level range specifics of the bell. I know for a fact that it is not "10+10%". I am level 125 and I used my small resonant bell and got summoned by my friends who is level 157. 125 x 0.1 + 10= 22.5 125 + 22.5 = 147 ? (Yes, I'm sure he is level 157) (Also, on several different occasions I have encountered other people way above the "matchmaking", not just my friend.)

You're not allowed to join your friend's game if they're 10 levels lower/higher than you

I recently rang my Small Resonant Bell for a bit of coop. Much to my surprise, I joined the game of a rival Covenant member. The game interpreted this as an invasion and designated the other player as hostile.

I rang this item recently and started the summoning process but died just before loading screen. I still went to the other players world but instantly died and went back to lantern without a loss of blood echos

I haven't used the small resonant bell yet, so I'm confused as to whether it uses insight like the Beckoning Bell or not

I used the infinite souls glitch for a while before i patched it, im level 90 at the moment. right now i seem to be summoned in very difficult playthroughs like NG+6 for an instance. Its hard but i dont regret fighting gascoigne dealing only 147 per hit XD
