I am using a +10 Chikage, and I have yet to see the poison actually poison someone. Has anyone had it poison an enemy? Even when I am getting 10 hit's with 2-handed it does nothing in term's of poison.

rapid poison is an instant HP drain, not over time. You can experiance it in the wet nurse fight.

still, I'd rather do away with the rapid poison if it meant not having to suffer the HP drain either.

Yep, I used story mode rapid poison gems on top of the inate poison to take down the Pthumerian Descendant. It definitely works.

I always thought the cainhurst knights used the chikage, but they do not. The reiterpallash description says knights were servants. I find it hard to believe that the nobles would make such pompous attire for servants and put paintings of them on the wall in their castle.

It seems like the Chikage is more of a formal, "decoration" weapon used for ceremony. The description makes mention of it only be used by the royal guards that protected their queen.

The servants that you find and fight in Cainhurst Castle only use regular rapiers, so the key difference is that the knights had a fancier outfit and their rapiers were armed with built-in guns, which definitely would be a step-up from the peasantry class.

I assume it's more like this: Knights- Knight Set + Reiterpallasch Royal Guard- Cainhurst set + Chikage

But still, the knight armor is so fancy that I thought they were the old nobles especially with the paintings in the castle featuring same or similar outfits, I just cant imagine knights wearing that outfit as servants. I cant even imagine what attire did the nobles wear if servants got treated so well.

The Rakuyo has made Chikage users like hipsters with good taste.

Would it be possible to use a blood gem that gives 1 HP/s healing to effectively cancel the damage the transformed form does?

I notice that some weapons receive a one off damage buff when you elevate certain stats to 99. Does anyone know if this is also true for the Chikage? If so, which stats? Cheers.

L2 thrust and One hand to two hand Transform attack still not doing blood-tinge damage? D:

Only the L1 -> R1 quick draw attack does blood damage. The R1/Roll -> L1 does physical L2 does pierce damage and that is a shame. Chikage would be way more fun to use!

the transformation attaks both do Bloodtinge damage

Which is better? I have both at lvl 10 and I have a 27% for the triangle slot and a 31,5% for the circular. I have 50 skill and bloodtinge. So, what do you guys think? Which one should I use?

You should go for the standard one (unless you plan to use it only in 2H mode), since physical gems increase blood damage too. Using the Lost version will only net you a minimal increase in blood damage while noticeably lowering your physical AR.

I'd be using the Lost version and going transformed mode all but exclusively. Transformed Chikage wrecks everything.

Your probably better of using the normal Chikage with all three gem slots filled with 27.2% physical attack | x% stamina cost gems.

No problem and thanks for the anwser :) And do you think farming odd shape bloodtinge gems would be useful at all? I tried it and got a triangle gem, but after that most of the time (even though I have 326 discovery) the watcher droped only ritual blood
