I did this using a Whirligig Saw. I struggled with all the other methods and had no sharman bone blades. So I summoned the younger madaras twin and didnt both with buffs. (+10 wep with around +300 stacked value) Enter the fight and what i did was get aggro from the katana guy and also the mage. Leave the madaras twin to one v one the flame sprayer. He should be able to survive whilst you deal with the other two. Primarily target the mage as he has lower health. But i made an effort to use wide attacks to hit the mage and katana guy. I found it very easy to avoid the katana guy and dodge around the mage. Once you start them transforming take out the mage asap as the buffed fire sword guy will then make quick work of the madaras twin. When he dies just harass the fire sword guy. If you keep on top of him he wont do any attacks.

Just kill the caster first then it will not be a problem.. I fought them and beaten them in my first try. But I think my level was too high for them since I was grinding souls before I went to them accidentally..

Abuse the giant tombstone that you'll see on the right as you enter the boss area. Use it to block the fire spells from the pure mage one, and focus the crap out of the pure melee one. Parry him and hit him with visceral attacks until he dies. Just make sure you focus on keeping the tombstone wedged between you and the pure mage one. Once the pure melee is dead, focus pure mage. The other one is basically useless, as it has really easy to dodge attacks if you're even halfway paying attention. Kill that one once you are done killing the pure mage.

This is my first run through of my first souls game and I think I've done pretty darn good up to these f'en guys. Seriously, every other boss I have downed in 1, 2, 3 and 5 tries. But Shadow of F#$%ing Yharnam? I think I'm up to 15 by now. I've seen videos where people seem to have all this time to strike one at time. But regardless of how much I kite around tombstone and try and separate, the katana and flame sword shadow stick to each other like glue and I never seem to get the time to land one hit before the second one hits me. I spent half the fight running around hoping they will separate, but nope, the two melee are like conjoined twins. But I'm making progress. Have been able to get it all down to one and died to the giant snakes. I WILL beat this!

Ludwig's holy blade in its great sword form seems to work well for future reference

It will save your *** if you´re surrounded by the Shadows - and of course against the fireballs. It´s also a very effective strategy to hit your target until your stamina is depleted and then unleash the beast roar - it will knock your enemies off and gives you time to regain stamina.

Kill Henryk to get him to appear and equip the impurity rune to get Madaras twin to appear. You may also need the rune for Henryk, not sure.

The difficulty on these guys jumps like crazy in NG+. If you're struggling, I recommend the shaman bone blade throughout the fight. Used on the katana guys and then focused on the spellcaster before moving back to them. Made the fight way easier.

Was able to summon Henryk, but couldn't find the twin with the impurity rune equipped. Decided to fight the shadows regardless, and Henryk fought the entire battle! I thought he died at first, then he dodges in and saves me from the katana shadow. After killing him, we caught the other two against a wall and slapped them silly while they tried to dance away. All the while running into gravestones and each other. Now I can continue on to kill Rom
