Hello to everyone.
I am grateful to be in your company!

I have been playing video games for several decades-Yes! I am old!

However, life tends to move forward. Therefore, video games do not become a priority.

That said?!? Then came the Dark Souls series came along!

Let me make myself clear. I am not here to discourage those of you that have come before me. Nor am I here to dictate your direction.

I am here and I am with you all.

However, I assure you that ALL of of can learn together.

With this introduction set...

I have to ask?! What video game have you considered challenging? What video game do you consider hard? What video game do you consider great?
If you can identify such a video game---in your opinion of course...

Then please identify what makes a video game "great"? What attributes do you inject?

In short. The Dark Souls series broke the mold!
Before Dark Souls? Almost all video games were linier.
Before Dark Souls? Video games had a beginning and therefore, an end.
Sure, Skyrim came along. In Skyrim? Skyrim became an open world. There were consequences. However, as I'm sure we all know... consequences in Dark Souls? A whole other level.

This is 1 of many reasons that makes this series-in video games-brilliant! And I mean brilliant!!

It broke the mold! It balanced an open world formant. Yet still maintained a linier format.

not an easy accomplishment!!! when it comes to video games.

Just think about it? What- video game- provides such accomplishments?
Resident Evil? Well? Although, a good choice! However, Resident evil is still linier.

What makes the Dark Souls series so brilliant?

The Dark Soul series makes you "play" against yourself.
No longer are you "allotted' a mistake. No longer can you back track and "reset".
In the Dark Souls series? You choose your path. Therefore, you except your path.
There is no turning back.
