lol im still in NG and going to the grand archives at lvl 107 and thinking im not strong enough with my weapon in +10
I don't see how the levels aren't higher. For example, Last night I beat the dancer of bull*****valley and that weird seathe looking creature at around lvl 75 and had enough souls to level up twice from the dancer alone. you have to be incredibly stupid not to cash in your souls after a boss fight. Not to mention bying stuff from the shrine handmaid. I do my best not to "over level" but I guess i'm too good at keeping the souls I get and spending them accordingly.
That's recommended level for other player interaction. The average player is probably gonna lose more souls than an experienced player. Not saying you can't use your rightfully earned souls or anything, just saying that your not gonna run into as many friendly phantoms or even invaders. And the levels are already a bit high. Farron Keep through the Profaned Capital are all about 5-10 levels too high. At least relative to difficulty of the enemies that is.
this list depents on the other players. and will even change with time. the one time dark souls player will leave, the dedicated players will stay. and of course they need less and less sl to beat the pve.
Honestly I would say you are over levelled I did dancer at around 50. Also is this your first souls game (if it is I could understand that more if you were new to the series)
Whoops. Halfway through Irithyll on first time playthrough and only level 25. Sure its a bit difficult I suppose but isn't that the point?
people gettin mad cause they too bad.
Everyone caps at between lvl 120 & 130. I regret leveling up to much, I reached 330 at NG+8
Not everyone. People who like to pvp might, but others who don't pvp all the time keep going up as they get exp.
huh... I was certain I over-levelled, but would you look at that.. My level is perfectly reasonable (hm.. maybe my way to high dmg comes from not levelling health at all, and having most points in strength, agi etc)
Level 78 and trying to fight soul of cinder I thought my lvl was to low but I guess I just suck
Nah cinder's just an awesome fight
I was at Farron Keep at level 20, no wonder I was having a hard time
This list has to be talking about upgrading 3-5 stats. For me i like my vigor, dex, str, endurance, vitality, luck, and faith so lvl 210 looks good to me at the end of NG. Deprived class all the way.
Are you DSP or something?
I'm SL 46 in Anor Londo with Irithyll straight sword +3 having minor difficulties
What's your build?
Regarding this list, the initial zones level range is fine, but once it hits "Smouldering lake" and so on with all those 50+, 55+ 50-60... I mean there are like 6 zones where you aren't supposed to gain more than 5 levels according to this list? doesn't make much sense to me. I've done 2 playthroughs ending around 90~ (not including dlc content) and had no problem summoning or being summoned. The only farming I did was for some weapons or to get an ember back helping someone doing a boss.

I mean if you are 70 at the end of the game either you are really bad using up your souls or you are really effing good at this game and you are saving those souls to buy all the stuff plus duplicates.

And this list doesn't take into account the 2 dlcs zones. The amount of souls you get killing stuff on the ringed city zone is ridiculous (after the two demons boss).
It's kinda true though. The first time I played I was around lv 100 near the end, but when I restarted I was able to stay low lv 35ish for PVP with a +3 weapon and I never had trouble spending my souls on armor or consumables. Once you can equip the tools you need for the run, levels aren't THAT important. But if I'm playing a caster or something that needs a lot of investment I usually end up just dumping souls into levels and get up pretty high early.
Depends on how you play. I've been using this guide and I feel really overleveled. Also both DLCs are post-end game content.
Well the reason it's because some people choose different paths at this point, but in the end they will all end up meeting in irithil or pontiff area, specially if you look for good PvP. I for one never go further than cleansing chapel, as soon as I hit the chapel, I go straight to ariandel, fastrun, kill Friede, go to ringed city and get the +3 rings. Only then I go back to road of sacrifices and continue on the market n path
