Square Enix has recently announced: Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition, an upcoming game for the iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices and is coming this fall 2017. You can watch the announcement trailer above.
The mobile game is a retelling of the Final Fantasy XV story featuring the main characters in a chibi art style and a revamped battle system for optimized touch controls on smartphones.
The main story is told through 10 episodes, which will all be available at launch. The first episode will be available for free while the rest will be treated as in-app purchases.
Players will also be able to freely explore Eos on their smartphone devices as they level up, cook, and fish just like they would in the console, and now PC (dubbed Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition), versions of the game.
The price of each additional episode was not included, but the publisher states that Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition does retell the entire original story. Check out the screenshots of the new game below:

In addition to this announcement, Final Fantasy XV has created it’s universe and expands on it with multiple experiences to come including:
- Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition
- King’s Knight – Wrath of the Dark Dragon
- Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV
- and now Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition
The publisher launched a new sizzle reel trailer found below showing off each of the these titles together to give a preview of just how much bigger the Final Fantasy XV universe is getting.
