The director of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Tetsuya Nomura is open to a possible compilation of Final Fantasy 7 releases, which may include Before Crisis, Crisis Core, Dirge of Cerberus and the animated film Advent Children.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Director Nomura Considering Compilation Titles
In a report by Famitsu which was later translated by Gematsu, Nomura answered some questions at a panel for The World Ends With You: Final Remix. A fan expressed to Nomura “I want to play Before Crisis: Final Fantasy 7 again!”
In response to said fan, Nomura replied:
Right now I’m concentrating on Kingdom Hearts III, but when that’s finished, VII will be where I head next,” responded Nomura. “I’m thinking about ideas regarding the remake’s release—I even spoke to producer [Yoshinori] Kitase about it today. All of us old-timers are considering various developments in regards to what accompanies the remake. Like if we can manage to do something about the Compilation titles too. But for the time being, please wait for VII’s turn to come.
His answer doesn’t quite confirm whether the developer Square Enix will take elements from previous Final Fantasy 7 iterations combining them into the remake, or simply port the previous games alongside the remake.
