Far Cry 3 Trophy Guide & Roadmap
Mastered the Jungle
Unlocked after attaining all trophies within the game.
This can be an easy trophy to unlock depending on how accessible certain areas of the map are for you at the current time. When you are able to get around the map easier head to the coordinates X: 479.8 Y: 793.6 on the top left of your map and grab the glider at the coordinates. After this keep the glider flying forwards, you shouldn’t even have to do anything, and when you finally end up over the sea let go. Once you hit the water the trophy will unlock.
See fully inked for info on this trophy.
To unlock this trophy you are going to have to unlock all 54 different skills found throughout the game, these skills can be attained by gathering xp throughout the game and once you’ve gathered enough you’ll be alerted when you’ve gained the ability to learn a new skill. Just continue you’re way through the game and by the time you’ve completed everything in singleplayer you should have them, so just unlock the skills that relate the most you’re preferred playstyle. However, one thing to note is that the skill ‘Ninja Step’ can be missed if you completed all outposts and were detected each time. So it is strongly recommended that you use stealth during the first few outposts you run across if your playstyle differs.
Money to Burn
To unlock this trophy you’re going to have to spend up to at least $5000 at a shop, however due to the nature of the trophy you do not have to do this all at once. So as long you’re collecting money through chests, fallen enemies, missions, or selling misc. items you should be able to achieve this relatively early on in the game.
To unlock this trophy you’ll have to unlock all attachments and paint jobs for one particular gun. The best way to go about this is to pick your preferred gun and keep using your money to buy new upgrades for it, depending on how many attachments and paint jobs there are for those guns this will help you greatly with the trophy ‘Money to Burn’.
Rebel with a Cause
Please go to Island Liberator.
Spread out through all the islands available you’ll come across 34 different outposts to capture. During this time you’ll find several ways to go about capturing these outposts through stealth and other not so subtle ways of taking them over. It is recommend though, that if you plan to go about raising hell through these outposts that you first use stealth in order to capture outposts located to where you start in the game as if you go about cosplaying as bomberman you’ll miss the trophies unheard and fully inked. For more info on stealth please visit Unheard.
In order to unlock this trophy you’ll have to eliminate every pirate within an outpost without being detected at all. In order to do this you’ll have to do a few things before hand:
- Scouting – This is important as you’ll have to use your camera that you receive at the start of the game to highlight the pirate’s current locations and to also highlight explosives and alarm boxes.
- Disabling alarm boxes – In order to do this you’ll be required to do a bit of stealth around the outpost and avoiding the highlighted locations of the guards. Once you have manually disabled (or shot an alarm box) start to pick off the guards that you highlighted until the outpost is cleared.
In order to unlock this trophy you’ll need to activate at least 9 radio towers. This is a fairly simple thing to do as you’ll find up to 18 radio towers in total to climb and activate throughout the game and it’s recommended to activate them all in order to get a full detailed view of your map, weapons will become available to you, and you also to get location info on items and loot. Finding these shouldn’t be all to hard either as they will stick out like a sore thumb in regions you have yet to travel into.
To unlock this trophy you’ll need to find and collect at least 60 relics. This can take a while but the process of finding them can be quickened easily by buying maps of 8 different areas all of which cost $500. Finding some of them though can take a bit of work as they can be found within caves, behind destructible objects, and some right in front of you.
Unlocking this trophy will be very similar to that of ‘Archeology 101’ as you will be able to find the locations of these letters on the map once you buy the 8 maps from the shops you’ll be able to find the locations of the letters.
Memory to Spare
Unlike the other items found within the game this is a much easier trophy to unlock as the location of all 20 memory cards you must collect will always be found in outposts that you liberate. It is still recommended to buy the maps for this in order to figure out which outposts you need to go to specifically.
In order to unlock this trophy you must collect 50 entries for you survival guide. Collecting these is a rather easy task and you will most likely unlock this by simply progressing through the main storyline and exploration.
Bagged and Tagged
Unlocking this is will not be hard to do as you will only need to complete one path of the hunter task. These tasks can be found at outposts that you liberate on a mission board. Each task will be different but will always center around killing and skinning a certain animal with a specific weapon.
This, like ‘Bagged and Tagged’ is not overly difficult and requires you to complete only one supply drop task. These tasks can be found near radio towers after they have been activated. Once you start these tasks you will be timed to follow flares until ending up at the intended location, just make sure not to bump into anything while driving.
In Cold Blood
Exactly like ‘Bagged and Tagged’ you will unlock this after completing one wanted task. These tasks can be found at mission boards at liberated outposts through out the game. After accepting one you will be sent to eliminate a specific pirate which will be guarded by other pirates. An easy way to complete this is by highlighting all the enemies in the area and killing the target at a distance with a sniper.
Let the Trials Begin
Unlocking this trophy won’t be a challenge as you will find throughout the game rocks that will give you the option to partake in challenges. The challenges given normally consist of you killing a certain amount of enemies with a certain weapon. You can just earn the lowest score with this and the trophy will unlock.
This trophy can take a while to unlock but is not very hard to unlock. Throughout the map you will find shacks where you can play poker with NPCs. These poker games have four different forms of difficulty practice, novice, skilled, and expert so for those that do not know how to play poker you can put a bit of time into the practice difficulty as you will not lose any money when doing so. You can just play poker games periodically throughout the game and you can eventually unlock this trophy. However an easier method of unlocking this trophy is to just save your game before joining the poker table and go all in on expert, if you win save your game and continue playing poker; if you lose just simply load your game and keep going all in.
Unlocking this trophy is not difficult to unlock, as all you will need to do is to lure an animal that will willingly attack you and then kill it; just make sure not to die. An easy way to find an animal like this is by completing one of the ‘path of the hunter’ tasks that can be found on a mission board.
Unlocking this will require you to accept a ‘path of the hunter’ task from a mission board, however make sure that the task that you accept has large letters stating “RARE” on it as this will indicate that the task will guide you to a rare animal. After you find one of these tasks accept it and kill the animal you are assigned to kill with the given weapon you are assigned to, just make sure to be cautious with rare animals as they are much more dangerous than regular animals.
In order to unlock this trophy you will need to have been collecting animal hides as these will later go into making larger wallets, weapon holsters, ammo pouches etc. these will help you greatly as you progress through the game. Take note though as later items that can be crafted will require rare animal skin that can only be found on ‘path of the hunter’ tasks.
Like ‘Artsy Craftsy’ unlocking this trophy will require you to collect plants in order for you to create syringes that help you in combat and other situations. It is recommended that you create a rugged or heavy duty syringe holster along with a rugged or heavy duty rucksack as you will be able to carry more ingredients and syringes.
The Good Stuff
In order to unlock this trophy you will need to have already collected at least 30 relics, after you have you will be able to craft a special syringe called ‘Untouchable’. In order to make this syringe you will need at least 5 green leaves, 2 white leaves, and 5 blue leaves.
Say Hit to the Internet
Referencing internet videos starring the antagonist Vaas that were made before the release of the game, this trophy is very easy to unlock as the only thing you will need to do is to visit the coordinates X: 620 Y: 558. The location is on a beach with two bodies hanging from trees behind the location.
After unlocking ‘Full Bars’ which will require you to activate 9 radio towers you will gain access to the flamethrower at the store. Once you’ve unlocked the weapon just use it during storyline missions and in freeroam until you’ve killed 50 pirates with it and the trophy will unlock.
Love the Boom
To unlock this trophy you will need to kill 4 enemies at the same time with the same explosion. One of the easier ways to go about unlocking this trophy is by letting a pirate activate an alarm at an outpost, waiting for reinforcements, and use either c4 on the road or if you have it use the rocket launcher as the reinforcements approach; as there is a likely chance that there will be four pirates in the vehicle.
Rock Always Wins
In order to unlock this trophy you will need to distract up to 25 pirates by throwing a rock. This is a rather simple thing to do and as long as you have been stealthily approaching outposts just throw a rock towards a pirate to distract them.
Never Saw it Coming
In order to unlock this trophy you will have need to have unlocked the skill ‘Death from Above’ after you have done this you will need to be able to perform this technique on an enemy while using a zipline, parachute, or glider. The easiest way to do this is by going to the coordinates X: 360 Y: 700 and using the zipline found on the hill there, distract one of the pirates by throwing rocks until they’re standing under the zipline, and then using the zipline and activate ‘Death from Above’ at the right time.
In order to unlock this trophy you will need to kill one enemy with the repair tool. First you will need to buy the repair tool under the ‘special’ section at the weapons shop once you have done this approach an enemy from behind and use the tool on them when they are not looking. Just keep using the weapon on him until they are on fire and they will die.
To unlock this trophy you will need to have bought or unlocked the bow from the weapons shop, once you have done this head to a freed outpost and wait for an allied vehicle to approach, commandeer and then abandon the vehicle, once you have done this place a custom marker on the car and head out until you are at least 70m away from it the align your shot with one of the allies and shoot them.
This trophy will most likely come naturally especially if you have been highlighting enemies before attacking an outpost. Just keep highlighting these enemies by pressing R1 with your camera and this will unlock early on in the game.
Fearless or Stupid
In order to achieve this trophy you will first need to progress through the main storyline, once you have learned how to make the ‘deep dive’ syringe make it and mark a location on your map that is in dark blue. Head to this position and use the syringe, once you have done this head straight to the bottom and the trophy should unlock.
Here We Come
Complete ‘Here We Come’.If you are playing these co-op missions in a public match, bare in mind that this trophy, along with all other co-op trophies, may not unlock your first time playing the mission. Normally, in order to unlock any of these trophies publicly, you will need to be in the lobby before the mission itself actually starts. So it is normally a matter of joining at the right time in order to achieve any of the co-op trophies. If possible, it is recommended to play co-op on split screen as you won’t have to deal with joining in on the match at the correct time.
