Fallout 4  PC Texture Pack

Next week, Bethesda is also rolling out a release of the game’s High-Resolution texture pack as a free download to the PC players. To use the High-Resolution texture pack, you’ll need 58 GB of space available and make sure your system can handle the following recommended specs:

Recommended PC Specs

  • Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit OS required)
  • Intel Core i7-5820K or better
  • GTX 1080 8GB/AMD Radeon RX 490 8GB
  • 8GB+ Ram

The new texture pack will substantially improve the visual look of the Boston wasteland but if you need to return to the original textures, you can disable them within the game’s launcher menu.

Nothing like a little visual shot in the arm to get players back into the Commonwealth. We’ll update this article when we have a solid release date, so keep checking back!

  1. I was curious as to why they were bothering with higher definition textures, but if they require a 1080 that makes more sense. Not that there is any shortage of 4k textures for fallout 4, but so far as I know the whole game hasn’t been reskinned that way.

PS, Why is it that every time someone updates something for the PS4 pro a 60 fps mode isn’t an option? There’s what, 2 games that offer it? I’d take a solid 60 fps (or even a solid 45+) over the constant 25 ish of the ps4 but with better visuals. Not for every game, but certainly for every action game.
