In the latest issue of Dengeki Playstation magazine, Koei Tecmo and Gust have unveiled new details about the upcoming RPG Fairy Tail.

Recently we covered some details on the upcoming Fairy Tail JRPG that will be releasing on Playstation 4, Switch and Steam. An article in Dengeki Playstation magazine has shared a few more details. These bits of information are early leaks from the magazine, so we could be seeing some more details when the magazine releases.

If you haven’t heard of Fairy Tail, it is based on Hiro Mashima’s best-selling manga and anime series of the same name. The game follows “The Grand Magic Games” story, letting those who are fans of the tale to relive the magic. But there are plenty of a new additional stories to enjoy that have never been seen before. Players will form a party with characters they meet on the way, there are 10 in total and include the fire dragon slayer Natsu Dragneel, the celestial mage, Lucy Heartfilia and plenty more iconic characters from the series.

Some new details have emerged including that the main story will take players around 30 hours to complete, but there are plenty of side content to experience. Each of the playable characters in Fairy Tail also have their very own side stories, and there are a number of optional quests that can further round out their story. Completing quests will help you level up your guild rank, as well as allow you to access more magic. Guild facilities are upgradeable by completing townpeople’s requests.

You will also be able to change the outfits of characters to personalise their looks. The developer is still deciding whether they will be creating DLC for the game.

Another interesting detail is that there is a friendship system, if you have certain characters in a party together frequently, you can level their friendship between those characters. There are also plenty of NPCs that can be called to support in battle or who will take care of the town’s facilities and the guild.
