Elyon is now live for those who backed the game with Headstart. The free-to-play releases on October 20th.
Elyon Headstart is Live; Free to Play Releases October 20th
Elyon is the next MMORPG that’s free-to-play, but also has Headstart which offers players a way to purchase a package to access the game early and gain helpful in-game items such as storage, inventory expansion space, character slot expansion and more through Kakao’s official website or through Steam.
Elyon was originally set as a buy to play title but Kakao decided to switch their approach to better compete against the rising number of MMORPGs. Previously the title was set to release closely with New World, but Kakao decided to move the release date to this month.
Now focusing on a freemium model and releasing almost a month later than the newly released New World, Kakao hopes to gain a number of players. Headstart launched with a slight delay, releasing 30 minutes later than expected due to some technical issue.
Elyon is set in a sci-fi world with massive realm wars, warring factions fight it out with manamechs, artillery and soldiers. Players can customise their character with a number of skill add-ons, runestones and through Mana Awakening. This will give a number of ways to create your own combat style. Players can pick from different classes from Mystics who can heal their allies through the power of nature but also deal damage to their foes, to Gunners who use guns to shoot enemies from a distance and land decisive blows.
Elyon releases on PC on October 20th. Want to know what else is launching this month? Check out our Top 5 Upcoming RPGs Of October 2021 (Darkest Dungeon 2, Elyon, Death’s Gambit Afterlife And More!).
