Elder Scrolls Online Witches Festival 2021: Rewards, Event Tickets, New Daily Quest & More

Zenimax has announced the Witches Festival for the Elder Scrolls Online is starting October 21st, full of rewards and ghoulish goodies to earn.

Elder Scrolls Online Witches Festival 2021

Another ghoulish Witches Festival is happening this month, kicking off on October 21st at 10AM EDT, and will run until Tuesday, November 2 at 10AM EDT. As with previous versions of this event, you will gain an XP boost, Plunder Skulls, Event Tickets and collectibles. Play the new daily quest to earn some more tremendous treats!

Below you will find out how to participate:

What: Witches Festival

When: Thursday, October 21st at 10AM EDT, and will run until Tuesday, November 2 at 10AM EDT

How:

  • Acquire the free quest from the Crown Store, under the Holiday section.
  • Complete the quest The Witchmother’s Bargain and receive the Witchmother’s Whistle memento (if you have previously completed this quest, you will not need to repeat it, just locate the memento in your Collections menu”.
  • Using the whistle, summon the Witchmother’s Cauldron – grants your party two-hour 100 XP buff that will stack with all other XP bonuses.
  • Using the Witchmother’s Cauldron turns you into the undead! Effects aren’t permanent (cauldron is not needed to earn XP buff).

Note: You cannot summon the Witchmother’s Cauldron in Cyrodiil.

Earn Monstrous Rewards

Gain some spooky rewards by killing boss monsters and receive a Plunder Skull container in addition to regular rewards. Plunder Skulls will contain the following:

  • Fragments of the new Witch-Tamed Bear Dog pet called Bonedust Pigments
    • Combine 10 fragments to craft this collectible
  • Hollowjack style items
  • Dremora style items
  • Witches Festival-themed recipes
  • Witches Festival-themed furnishings and furnishing recipes
  • Bewitching Alchemy reagents
  • … and an assortment of creepy and valuable items!

The first time you slay each different boss-type you will receive a Dremora Plunder Skill as well containing the following items:

  • Dremora Motif chapter pages
  • Witches Festival Writs
    • Complete these writs to unlock an Achievement that’ll grant you the Witch hat collectible AND the “Witch” title!
  • Glenmoril Treasure Maps
    • Use the map to find Glenmoril Weapon Style pages scattered all over Tamriel
  • Glenmoril Armor Outfit Style pages
  • Grave Dancer Weapon Style pages
  • NEW Marshmallow Toasty Treat emote Runebox
  • NEW Bonefire memento Runebox

Dremora Plunder Skulls

Dremora Plunder Skull will be available this Witches Festival. You can gain a Dremora Plunder Skull the first time you defeat each different type of boss each day. While these will contain the same items found in regular plunder skulls, you are guaranteed to gain a new Dremora Motif page depending on the boss you conquer. Dremora Motifs are tradeable, so you don’t get the one you want you can always swap with someone else. The type of motif page you will gain will depend on the boss-type:

  • Final Arena Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Bows and Legs
  • Dark Anchor, Geyser Bosses, and zone Dragons drop Dremora Motif pages for Daggers and Gloves
  • Delve Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Staves and Belts
  • Final Dungeon Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Helmets and Maces
  • Public Dungeon and Quest Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Shields and Boots
  • Final Trial Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Swords and Chests
  • World Bosses drop Dremora Motif pages for Shoulders and Axes

NEW Daily Quest

In addition to all these treats, players can also take part in the new daily quest called Plucking the Crow. This quest is available once a day from the Witchmother Taerma who you can find lurking in the Olyve’s Brewery AND at every Impresario tent in Tamriel. Taerma will task you with collecting 50 Cursed Feathers found within the Plunder Skull containers. After collecting 50 feathers, you can transform them into an effigy that can be used to transport yourself into a special realm to battle a new World Boss monster!

Event Tickets and The Impresario

Gain up to two Event Tickets from the first boss monster slain each day, with up to 26 tickets available during the event. Event Tickets can go towards these following rewards:

  • All three Unstable Morpholith pet fragments
    • The Deadlands Flint, Rune-Etched Striker, and Smoldering Bloodgrass Tinder
  • The first TWO fragments for Doomchar Plateau, the morphing collectible house
    • The Scorching Pillar and Searing Column
  • Marshmallow Toasty Treat Emote
  • Witch’s Bonfire Dust Memento
  • Fragments for the Witch-Tamed Bear-Dog pet
    • Called Bonedust Pigments
  • A host of spooky furnishings
  • Group Repair Kits
  • Witches Grab Bags
    • Containing collectibles from previous Witches Festival events

This is also your chance to start collecting the fragments for the Doomchar Plateau house, the Q4 event morphing collectible. This house will only be available until the end of the year, so grab it while you can. To gain the house you will need the Unstable Morpholith pet and all five upgrade fragments. More announcements will be coming for the rest of 2021 also.
