Elder Scrolls Online Free to Play Weekend Coming For Xbox One

Zenimax Online has announced today that the Elder Scrolls Online will be receiving a free to play weekend on Xbox One, beginning Wednesday, November 23rd at 12:01 AM EST and running until Sunday, November 27th at 11:59 PM EST. Xbox One players who were out of the loop following last weekend’s free to play event on PC and PS4 can now rejoice!

To get in on the free weekend, navigate to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited on the Xbox Store, download the game, and create your ESO account. The game requires nearly 80 GB of space.

Once ESO is installed and you’ve created your account, you can log in and begin your questing in the wide world of the Elder Scrolls. Here are the details on the features that players will be taking advantage of the free weekend.

  • You’ll have access to the full The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited base game, not including DLC game pack areas.
  • Upon account creation, you’ll get 500 crowns to spend in the Crown Store on fun costumes, unique pets, helpful scrolls, and more.
  • After the Free Play Weekend ends, you can continue where you left off: Any characters you create, Crown Packs, or Crown Store items you purchase, as well as any progress you make during the Free Play Weekend, will carry over when you purchase the game

In celebration of the Free Play Weekend, Crown Packs and the Gold Version of ESO will be available at a discounted price. With the recent One Tamriel update that brought sweeping changes to the game’s accessibility for both newcomers and vets, right now is a great time to dip your toes into this impressive MMO.

If you’re planning to play this weekend, be sure to check out our Getting Started Guide, Class Guide and our One Tamriel guide ahead of time, so you’re prepped and ready for when the free weekend starts!
