Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Updates to Version 1.16
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree patch 1.16 is now available, bringing a series of bug fixes and offering potential solutions to ongoing issues, such as an unstable frame rate on the PS5.
Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Patch 1.16
Although this update addresses some technical aspects, it is relatively small compared to the more complex balance updates that players are used to. Additionally, the patch notes include vague descriptions, making it difficult to determine what specific changes have been implemented without thoroughly reviewing the game.
Among the notable fixes, the patch notes confirm that version 1.16 has “fixed an issue where temporary boosts to player stats would remain even after closing and restarting the game,” eliminating an anomaly that could unintentionally affect character performance. However, this is essentially the only clearly documented fix.
The community, on the other hand, doesn’t seem entirely satisfied with these adjustments. The tweet announcing this patch is filled with comments from players who continue to request that FromSoftware implement a boss rush mode, which would allow users to repeatedly face the game’s most challenging bosses without needing to join a co-op session.

Additionally, since patch 1.14 was released last month, which significantly weakened Radahn, the final boss of Shadow of the Erdtree, many players have requested that these changes be reversed or that the boss’s abilities be improved once again to restore the original difficulty of the encounter.
The community is still awaiting more substantial adjustments that address their requests and restore some of the challenges they consider essential to the game’s experience.
