This number was reported by Gamebiz via Gematsu as announced by Bandai Namco during their financial report which ended on June 30th 2022.

In May this year the game had already garnered 12 million units sold, reaching 13.4 million units by mid-May. The CEO of Bandai Namco Entertainment Yasuo Miyakawa has already shared plans that the company has their sights on a wider scope than just games for the Elden Ring IP.

Elden Ring continues to gain new milestones, now surpassing over 16.6 million units sold worldwide.

Elden Ring has already smashed through a number of milestones including becoming the 6th most played game on Steam with almost 1 million concurrent players at the height of its popularity.
