Dragon Age: The Veilguard Will Receive Its First Patch

Dragon Age: The Veilguard, BioWare’s latest RPG, is set to receive its first update at the end of this week, addressing various issues, including a problem with NVIDIA’s DLSS.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard First Patch

Released last Thursday, Dragon Age: The Veilguard marks the fourth installment in BioWare’s RPG saga, returning after a ten-year hiatus to great success. It was also revealed that there are no expansions planned, as the creators are focused on the new Mass Effect.

Although there won’t be any DLCs, the game will receive quality-of-life improvements and minor content updates, starting with this first patch arriving later this week. We already know some of the improvements and fixes that will be included.

Improvements

As BioWare revealed on their X account, the first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard will arrive later this week on all platforms. This patch will include several bug fixes, minor balance changes, and a reduction in some crashes. The full patch notes will be available upon release, but here are some of the fixes they’ve shared:

Fixed an issue where some customizations were not properly applied to the Inquisitor in a scene.
Fixed an issue where DLSS options could appear “dimmed” on an NVIDIA 40-series GPU. (PC only)
Fixed an issue that caused companion skill points to reset.

As you can see, players have used this post to reply with all the bugs and issues they’ve encountered in the first days of gameplay, which BioWare is likely already working to address.

They’re also asking about compatibility with the PS5 Pro, the new console releasing on November 7, which, as we mentioned last week, is now available.
