Dragon Age: The Veilguard New Details
Fans of this saga have been waiting a long time for a new installment. Since Dragon Age: The Veilguard was announced, the reactions have been immediate, and players were left in awe.
While its release is still planned for the fall with no fixed date, many details have already been unveiled, such as its skill tree and specializations. However, more information about character creation has now been made public, which is always a popular feature among people.
Game Informer portal they visited the Bioware offices to learn more about what can be customized when creating the protagonist of this story. It seems that the options will be varied, so there will be a lot of freedom to ensure your characters are to your liking.
What Can You Modify In Your Character?
At the beginning of your journey in The Veilguard, you will be asked to customize Rook, the protagonist. You will have to choose the race from four possible options: Human, Qunari, Elf, and Dwarf. Each one has its exclusive characteristics.
The editor will also ask for your preferred pronoun, body type, and even different body positions with four types of lighting.
An interesting detail is that BioWare has fixed the issues present in the Dragon Age: Inquisition editor. We can say goodbye to color filters, although in The Veilguard, purple plays a special role but won’t negatively affect the game as it did in Inquisition.
There are up to 40 skin tones, with numerous variants for hairstyle, eyes, nose, ears, cheekbones, and jaws. You can even edit the character’s underwear or breast size.
Apparently, Dragon Age: The Veilguard includes nudity, as the game director confirms that it remains an RPG for adults. You can also apply up to 30 types of tattoos and makeup.
The animations and body treatment are based on the Strand system of the Frostbite Engine to ensure the highest realism in movement. In the editor, you can also choose from four different voice tones.
As the final part of the process, players will have to choose one of the three initial classes: warrior, mage, or rogue, similar to what we have seen in Baldur’s Gate 3. They will also need to select one of six factions to create a background for each character.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard can also be played offline. This means you won’t need a permanent connection to enjoy the story this new title offers, and no, it won’t have microtransactions either.
It seems the company knows what users want and has not hesitated to provide it. It will be released sometime in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
