Today, developer Larian Studios announced that they’ve surpassed the one million milestone for their highly-acclaimed CRPG, Divinity: Original Sin 2, occurring just a little over two months since the game’s release back in September.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 – Congratulations!
Prior to this, Original Sin 2Â was close to reaching its 500,000 mark, happening in a mere few days from its launch, which took the first entry two to three months to accomplish.
A chunk of Original Sin 2‘s sales come from Steam Early Access and Kickstarter, with approximately 180,000 copies sold. While the rest includes over 920,000 copies bought through Steam alone, according to stats from Steam Spy.
This well-deserved achievement from Larian definitely speaks volume on the care and passion that has gone into creating Original Sin 2. With some arguing it being the best RPG of all-time, on top of being one the games of this generation responsible in reviving the CRPG genre.
