Blizzard has confirmed that there are two expansions planned for the Action-RPG Diablo 4.
Diablo 4 Post Launch Content Has Two Expansions Underway
In a recent interview general manager of the Diablo franchise Rod Fergusson has shared that there are currently two expansions in the works for Diablo 4. Speaking to Kinda Funny Games, Fergusson explained that the developer has already got their sights on not only one but two expansions:
As I sit here we’re about to launch the main game, we’re finishing up season one, we’re working on season two, we’re working on expansion one, we’re kicking off expansion two…we’re working on that now and we haven’t even launched the game.

Post Launch Plans
Compared to Diablo its predecessor Diablo III, the live service format has allowed Diablo IV to gain much more content to be had over the course of seasons. If you compare this to Diablo II, which received only one major expansion, the current entry has already gained further content plans.
Blizzard has already stated they plan to support the Diablo 4 for “years” after launch. An extensive roadmap was previously shared through its post-launch battlepass. This contains a “Seasonal Questline” under an overall theme. These are quests that are independent of the main storyline and will help players navigate the new season’s mechanics.

Diablo 4 has already been unleashed through early access for those who purchased the deluxe version or above. But the final hell gates opened on June 6th for all. All players can now venture into Sanctuary as one of the five classes, Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue or Sorceress.
