Bungie has released the official launch trailer for Rise of Iron, the upcoming expansion to Destiny, set to release next Tuesday, September 20th on PS4 and Xbox One. Check it out above. The trailer shows a cinematic glimpse at the expansion’s story, along with a look at some of the new gear and content that Guardians will be able to get their hands on.

Rise of Iron features a whole new story for Guardians to explore, as well as new strikes, a new raid, new locations and new weapons and armor. The max light level is getting a boost to 385, and then 400 a few weeks later when the hard mode for the raid goes live. The PvP Crucible also receives some new content, with private servers already making their appearance this week for players. The most recent update made several changes to weapons and gear, and has prepped the base game for all of the new content.

Players must own the Taken King expansion to access the new content. New Destiny players can get all of the previously released expansions, including Rise of Iron in the Destiny Collection which also releases next week for 60 USD. Rise of Iron on its own costs 30 USD.

This is the kickoff for the remainder of the year for Destiny, which has plans to bring back seasonal events like last year’s Halloween themed Festival of the Lost and Sparrow League Racing. Thoughts on the expansion and all it brings with it? Share your thoughts in the comments.
