Demon’s Souls Trophy Guide & Roadmap

Welcome to our Demon’s Souls Trophy Guide! In this guide you will find a list of every trophy in Demon’s Souls and tips and strategies on how to earn them all!

  • Time to Platinum: 90+ hours
  • Platinum Difficulty: 10/10 (Lots of farming, difficult game!)
  • Playthroughs required: Three in order to attain the Knight’s Honor trophy. Planning on World Tendency and Boss Soul usage is important. Read the changes with New Game Plus here.
  • Missable Trophies: None since you need many playthroughs.
  • Online Trophies: None, but online can be optionally used in order to attain trophies based off of weapons.

Most Efficient way to Platinum Demon’s Souls:

  1. First Playthrough: Play the game normally, and enjoy discovering everything you can. You may use this Walkthrough to understand game progression stages.
  2. Second Playthrough: During this playthrough you’ll obtain copies of Boss Souls, that you can use to unlock some extra boss weapons and spells.
  3. Third Playthrough: Make different choices for a third time!
  4. Optional / Cheat / Shortcut: Avoid a 4th playthrough by using a “cheat” on the Soldier Trophy..

Demon’s Souls Trophy Guide

To get this Platinum trophy, you will have to play through Demon`s Souls at least 3 times, in order to be able to learn all magics and miracles. You can avoid playing a 4th time using a cheat explained in the “Soldier” weapon detail section. Use this list to cross out what you have obtained so you know what magics/miracles/weapons you are missing and what Demon you should slay again.

Once you have upgraded everything, wait for the trophy, and then quit the game with the controller`s PS button: Reload your game and the Demon Souls will still be there, the weapons will not, but the trophy will have unlocked.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap False King’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “False King”.

You must defeat the Demon in 1-4, King Allant. Having allied phantoms to distract him is useful. You should avoid close combat, but beware of his dash attack and soul drain if you are too far. Initially, wait for him to come towards you and then ran back up, and roll out of his following dash. You can now start a dance of attack and dodge, with an strong but quick weapon (Meat Cleaver is too slow).

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Storm’s King Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Storm King”.

You must defeat the Demon in 4-3, Storm King. Enter the boss area and ignore everything, and run forward towards the pillars and ruins. In the center, there is the “Stormruler”, a sword that can “tear the sky”. Take it and equip it, then target the many mantas and boss and use R1 to attack them from the ground. Taking out the Mantas first can help avoid damage, so concentrate on them, always rolling after each attack to avoid being hit by their projectiles.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Old Monk’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Old Monk”.

You must defeat the Demon in 3-3, Old Monk. This can be a very easy boss, as it most likely will be another player that was not intending to be a Black Phantom and will let you kill him. If you are having troubles with the online component, simply play the boss offline for an easy win.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Maiden Astraea’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Maiden Astraea”.

You must defeat the Demon in 5-3, Maiden Astraea. You will first have to defeat her knight Vindal, who can be troublesome. A rythmic attack and roll to avoid the massive damage from his blunt weapon is the only way, but be careful not to fall down to the swamp! Magic does not work well. With Astraea, you can chose to let her kill herself by starting a dialog with her after defeating Vindal, and using lots of Widow`s Lotus and recovery items to keep your health up until she vanishes. If you want to speed things up, any attack works. Use a Plague resistance Ring and if you have obtained Yurt`s armor equip it to minimize your risk.

 Dragon God Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Dragon God”.

You must defeat the Demon in 2-3, Dragon God. Bring New Moon Grass, use a protection magic, and go to the right, hitting the Dragon`s claws or debris as appropriate to make your way. When you reach the shining structure, get close to it and activate it to hurt the Dragon. Now you must go to the other side, so head down the stairs with a Flame Protection Ring equipped, and start running. You will be caught in the flames as you have to clear Debris from your path, so fully heal yourself each time and proceed forward. It is an endurance battle, until you reach the other end and use the spear again. (you can take a second to kill the Crystal Gecko before you use the spear, it is safe in this platform). Once you have used the second spear, run down the way you came and go left towards the Dragon when you see a path. Get to the Dragon`s head and use your strongest melee weapon with two hands and heavy hits. Do not get too close or he will burn you, and be careful not to fall.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Old King’s Trophy

Conqueror of Old King Doran.

To get this trophy, you must defeat Old King Doran in 1-1. To access the building where he is (To the opposite side of the first blue knight you encontered in 1-1, there is a red knight guarding the entrance), you will need a high sould level and a set of Keys. The keys can be obtained by killing Ostrava when you first meet him in 1-1 or 1-2, or by helping him in 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3. Ostrava is a glitchty character, he has been known to dissapear and die so the easiest path is to kill him.
If you help him, however, he will give you valuable items and he can then be assassinated to fulfill one of Mephistopheles Quests.

Ostrava Details:

1-1 He is after the first fog, on a platform right next to the stairs you descend. You can go to him immediately but the best way to help him is to clear the entire area until the next fog and then come back to him, and trigger the conversation. Click here for a map of Boletarian Palace.

1-2 In the first room, that has the mini-Phalanx, before bridges with the Red Dragon, go to the far left side. He will ask you to help him by clearing up the area of enemies. Go to the bridge and run to avoid the Dragon, then go up the stairs and kill all enemies there. Then go dowsntairs to the basement of the Bridge and proceed to the left killing all enemies until you find Ostrava. . Click here for a map of Boletarian Palace.

1-3 You will see Ostrava engaged in Battle close to where the Smile Minister closes the door in one of his soldiers. Help him by defeating his enemies and you will be done. Click here for a map of Boletarian Palace.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Flying Dragon’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Blue Flying Dragon”.

You get this trophy after killing the Blue Dragon in 1-4. You can start to weaken him with magic or arrows when he first appears. Do not go forward, lock on his head, and shoot away. He will fly off after a certain amount of damage. Next, when he is on the stairs, you will have to outrun the fire and get under him, and again lock on and shoot his head from the archway. It will take a while but it should be easy.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Phalanx’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Phalanx”.

You must kill the first Demon you encounter in 1-1, Phalanx. To defeat it easily, apply turpentine to your weapon and use lots of rolling tactics, and throw fire bombs at it whenever you can.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Tower Knight’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Tower Knight”.

You must kill the Demon from 1-2, Tower Knight. To defeat him without taking much damage, a ranged approach and patience works. First, run to the right or left and up the stairs and kill the archers in both sides.

Then secure a position in one of the archer`s points, and fire away magic or arrows to the Knight`s head. When you see he is about to release his ranged attack roll backwards, and then recover your position and fire again. The melee tactic is to have a potent protection magic and attack his ankles with your weapon, which will eventually cause him to fall. Immediately move on to his head and use heavy attacks until he recovers. Death Fog spell will paralyze him momentarily. (in unpatched game).

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Penetrator’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Penetrator”.

You must kill the Demon from 1-3, Penetrator. It is best to be in multiplayer so one phantom can distract him whilst you lay heavy attacks on him, or alternatively have Biorr join you. The main point is to stay evasive but take advantage of the stuns. Death Fog spell will paralize him momentarily. (in unpatched game).

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Adjudicator’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Adjudicator”.

You must kill the Demon from 4-1, Adjudicator. To take on this funny-looking foe, head right as you enter the area and down the first set of stairs, then walk forward (direction would be towards the door you came in from but on different floor). You will find a narrow but wide patch of ground. Set your aiming on the Adjudicator`s head and use magic and arrows to attack him, and roll every time he is about to use his tongue or sword. You do not need to go down to defeat him. It is useful to have the Magical Sharpness ring and Master Ring equipped. Melee tactic requires that you make it to the base floor, dodge his attacks and focus your blows on the blade stuck on its side until it falls, making the weaker head accessible.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Old Hero’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Old Hero”.

You must kill the Demon from 4-2, Old Hero. This enemy is blind, so start by using the Thief`s Ring to hide yourself. If you summon phantoms, the enemy will still concentrate on you, but the phantoms can help you damage him. The best approach is a powerful ranged magic. Use the pillars to block him dash attack and remain far with a bow or magic and u will eventually defeat him.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Fool’s Idol Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Fool’s Idol”.

You must kill the Demon from 3-1, Fool`s Idol. The “Church Goddess” can be dangerous, so before you enter the church head to the area with the balista and look for a door to the right side (you are facing the Church). Go all the way up and follow the narrow path towards some very important keys and a man who claims means you no harm. Kill him and your fight with Fool`s Idol will be easier. Enter the church and kill all the worshippers to avoid them bothering you, then find refuge behind the pillars. To kill the Demon, you should first note that even if you kill her dopplegangers you do not get her health down, so you should first learn to recognize the real Demon. It is the one that throws the “paralize” magic at you, whilst the others will use different things. Ranged magic is the best bet to deplete her HP but do not equip the Magical Sharpness ring or you will take more damage than necessary from each attack.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Maneater’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Maneater”.

You must kill the Demon from 3-2, Maneater. This very annoying Demon has two bodies, two healthbars and a very narrow arena, so it is likely you will be killing yourself by falling off more often than him getting you. It is vital to have a phantom companion that can distract the Demon. With a powerful protection spell on, use Magic when he is flying and then move on to the circular area with the fire, Use the pyre as a shield against the Demon`s melee attacks, and use Sticky White Stuff on your weapon to attack him at close range. Have full moon grass ready in your inventory in case he pins you down!

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Leechmonger’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Leechmonger”.

You must kill the Demon from 5-1, Leechmonger. This is a very easy boss. You can snipe him with magic and arrows from the platform you use to access the area, but if you fall simply get close to him and spam heavy attacks, taking an occasional break to heal yourself with Lotus.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Dirty Colossus’ Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Dirty Colossus”.

You must kill the Demon from 5-2, Dirty Colossus. To defeat this boss, equip magical protection and approach him with a heavy weapon like the Meat Cleaver. You must follow a sequence of attack, roll, attack, roll to avoid being hit by his 360 degree attack or his disease attack that will poison/plague you. If you decide to go ranged, running in a circle around him as you use your magic and arrows works well to avoid his projectiles. Beware of the fires and pitfalls!

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Armored Spider’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Armor Spider”.

You must kill the Demon from 2-1, Armor Spider. The safest area is where you first enter. If you never move forward, all you have to do is use a ranged attack (magic or bow) when she is about to fire explosive rocks, then roll out of the way, and repeat. When you see her get ready to fire her thread attack (this slows you down and makes you an easy target) forget about damaging her and roll around until her shot has hit the ground, otherwise it will change directions and hit you. For melee users, your only hope is to go straight up and to the left, and roll/attack from there. If you see the firespray coming, run for your life towards the entrance.

demons-souls-trophy-guide-roadmap Flamelurker’s Trophy

Slayer of Demon “Flamelurker”.

You must kill the Demon from 2-2, Flamelurker. It is best to have a phantom to distract him, and have the Ring of Flame resistance equipped. There are two areas that the Lurker does not enter easily, the first one a carcass to the right to where you enter, the second one another carcass to the left far side from where you enter. If you use these locations as shields, he will get “stuck” and you can use your ranged magic to attack him. However it does not last long and you will have to change positions. If you choose to attack in the open, ranged magic whilst rolling in a big circle in the whole arena is the option. For melee attacks, have your partner distract the Demon and attack him from behind, but beware of his explosion attacks.

  3. Yup, there was a special feeling of despair reserved for when one of them died over the rocks. I developed a method for killing them where I could collect them. Which also reminds me of when I tried for hours determined to be the first person to kill one of the double winged hawks in 4-1. I lined up my angle from sparkly’s perch and kept adjusting the timing of when to let the arrow loose. And then it finally happened, my soul counter went up a smidge, and the hawk fell. I went to go collect the loot from its corpse and take a screenshot, but it had fallen on the side of the mountain…

  4. >

This!!! so much. I was an idiot decided to upgrade the purple flame shield in my first plat, 9 bloody chunks for the last upgrade, it took ages. I got worried at one stage that i’d get called to the Hague for genocide on the rays. Worst of all when you killed them above the rocks and the item just hung there, you couldn’t get it and every bone in your body told you it was a chunk.

    100% True.

I thought I was becoming stupid searching that stupid Channeler’s Trident on DkS, but the Pure Bladestone is on a whole different level.

  6. Loved working for this plat. Oddly enough the longest grind was for Cloudstone chunks! I had been too lazy to pick up the ones in 4-3, so when I finally got around to the trophy I had only the 2 from 4-3. The rays are the only ones that drop the chunks and at a ridiculously low drop rate. Bladestone still did take a bit but the backwards rush from 4-3 archstone wasn’t too tedious. I really was surprised how much I enjoyed farming for Marrowstone in 5-2. I developed a really tidy method of circling the perimeter taking out every mosquito on the board.

  7. Wow that’s pretty detailed. Think you need a “warning will lose your mind” note the on the bladestone trophy.
