Demon’s Souls New Weapons & Armor Details for Digital Deluxe Edition

Previously it was revealed Demon’s Souls would be getting a new weapon, the Reaper Scythe which is included as pre-order bonus, however Bluepoint Games have revealed via Playstation today that won’t be the only addition for the remake.

On the Playstation Blog, SIE creative director Gavin Moore went into detail about the Reaper Scythe, describing it as “a pole weapon  with a curved blade on one end that is so sharp that they say it can sever your soul from your body. It can mow down many targets in a single blow, but is difficult to handle and requires both strength and dexterity to use.”

Demon’s Souls Digital Deluxe Edition – $89.99

There was also a post featuring all the new armor, weapons and items that will be included in the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game:

This edition includes a number of bonuses for Demon’s Souls fans including original soundtrack, additional items such as the Hoplite Shield and more. Full list of included bonuses can be found below:

The digital deluxe edition is available to pre-order for $89.99 and is available on the Playstation Store.

According to the post these will be drops from existing enemies from the original game. The post also states they are staying very much true to the original game, but enhancing the “original art, sound, music and feel”, meant to appeal to both longtime fans of the game plus new players.

Ring of Longevity is not an item that is from the original Demon’s Souls, and there currently little info about it, same goes for the three grain types. Phosphorescent Gains may drop from the Phosphorescent Slugs, while the Bearbugs maybe be connected to the Bearbug Grains.

Previously Bluepoint revealed Demon’s Souls would be getting quite the upgrade in terms of graphics, also doing combat animations plus enemy moves. This also includes new animations for player combat, parry and backstab making for a smoother experience.

Bluepoint Games are behind this remake, who also brought you the Shadow of the Colossus remake. If you’re eager for more Demon’s Souls be sure to check out our  Demon’s Souls Remake Trailer Analysis: Release Date, 4k Graphics, Broken Archstone?
