Developer Amplify Creations has announced their semi-open world action-RPG Decay of Logos will be launching on Playstation, Switch, Xbox One and PC this month.
Decay of Logos an Indie Souls Meets Zelda: Breath of the Wild Action-RPG
Publisher Rising Star Games and studio Amplify Creations have announced they will be releasing their third-person action-RPG later this August. Visually the title looks to gain some inspiration from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild but it’s gameplay brings some Souls combat with “high risk-reward battle system” according to their Steam page. You will be able to parry, dodge and counter-attack and manage your stamina.
Decay of Logos focuses on RPG elements but with an interesting take, as gear you equip will only be seen on the character model according to an article by PCGamer. Depending on your play style will determine how you level:
Leveling is fully automated and based on your play style, Ada gains stats when you kill an enemy, activate a mechanism or even when finding a secret chest.
The setting is a high-fantasy world influenced by the works of Tolkien. Now torn apart by tragedy with the death of the Queen. The King’s sons have now segregated the kingdom, each claiming a different part of it for themselves.
Players will take on the role of Ada who will investigate the attack of her village. Accompanied by an elk who will play an important role, not just doubling as inventory space, you will explore lush forests, the Howling Rift, swamps and many unique settings. You will also get to meet along the way memorable NPCs with fully voice acted roles, gaining more knowledge of the lore of this mystical land in an immersive way.
